(i'll pretend that the demon i killed was another cerberus.) Shyl awoke to see a vulturelike creatue with three tails getting ready to take a chunk from his leg, luckily his sword was on the other side, he summoned enough strength to call back his rune blade, Azure Wrath, to his side. It passed completely through, its surface repelling the demonic blood from its surface, leaving it shiny, in his weakened and dizzy state he glanced around, the area seemed clear. Using his sword as a cane, he struggeled to his feet and looked around a little bit closer, not even humans came near the area during his loss of conciousness. He winced and looked down at his shoulder, it was bleeding, he knew his very lifeblood was flowing from his wound, he had to hurry and make it back to another angel, p-referably one who specialized in healing, many angels had died from faulty healing procedures. He tried to spread his wings and stumbled and gasped in pain, he wasnt going to be able to fly. He looked at his shoulder, the wound was deep and possibly mortal but it didnt go all the way through. If he let any magic flow to it, it would open a near fatal flow, one that would drain him utterly and leave him lying in the street for weeks. "Damn demons, lucky im right handed, he got me good." he winced as he felt the surrounding flesh, it was cauterized around the edges. The demon that he had slain was gone, its flames consuming it after death. He looked around trying to find something to help him walk, it dishonored his blade whne he put its tip to the ground and used it as a common walking stick, considering it was made by the archangel himself. He had seen something in him he said, something great and powerful. "this Shyl individual does not realize how important his a destiny is..." He had said, "he will be instrumental in a great conflict to come, one that could possibly decide the fate of earth." He had not been told this directly but rather through a friend who had been nearby guarding the gates to the archangels chamber. He later recieved a sword, blue with an edge that could cut a feather in half without moving it from the air, one with power over demon's, one forged by the archangel himself. He looked at the nearby doorway to a house, its door was broken down, though he doubted the demon responsible was still there. He cautiously approached the doorway and grabbed something to steady himself, he drew Azure Wrath from its sheath its glow was dim, no demons were near, but there were some things that were not demonic after angels. He walked in slowly and gasped when his shoulder vrushed the doorway. He glanced around, a hearth, fireless and unused as of recent times, a couple of chairs and a table by the far window, flowers still in the vase, barely alive. He looked at the stairs up to the second floor, a rickety peice of architecture if he ever saw it. He crossed the room slowly, keeping his injured shoulder away from anything it could possibly hit. A crash was heard outside, another direction, not the courtyard, but the back window. He darted up the stairs and gazed out of the window, A titanic demon, six arms, all holding massive clubs, it towered above the buildings. Shyl didnt see much more, a large figure slammed him out of the window back into the courtyard, He screamed with pain as it struck his shoulder and launched him through the large glass window. He landed on his back again, he slowly stood up in time to see a large man with a rifle in his hands. "Ye, stay out of me home, i want no part in yer battles." the man announced loudly. without another word he ran into the house and began laying bricks in the doorway, doomed to die in his home. Shyls wound had reopened and he looked down to see a puddle of his own blood, he suddenly felt faint. The last thing he saw and heard was the call of an angel, Tyrisa. His last thoughts of her were of her. He wouldnt die, not with her here.

((By the way, there is more than one archangel. And Cerberi have three heads. Hell hounds have one. And what did I do to piss Angel and Chloie off??))
Alum threw his things onto the bed. He stank like sulfur, so he undressed and took a quick shower. He put a tight shirt and some loose pants on, then walked outside to see what was going on. He scanned the area, seeing only a few clouds of dust from battles taking place. He used the binoculars to view in on them. He spotted a beast with a long cat's face with two jaws snatching after a trio of angels in vain, A huge man-like Demon with six arms holding clubs, smashing about, an angel flitting nearby. Nothing much more than what usually happened. It wasn't rare that a Hell hound would walk by, maybe sniffing up at him, or a six armed Demon. Instead of watching these battles take place, he walked back inside and prepared himself some food, just a sandwich that he got from the grocery store across the street. There was a knock at his door. It was light, but filled with obvious force and haste. He grabbed a rifle from his bed as he walked to the door. "Who is it?" He asked. "Arkaeus." Came the reply from a young sounding male. Alum threw the door open. "Hey! Arkaeus, good to see you again." Arkaeus, rather than returning the greeting, rushed inside and closed the door, bolting it. "I'm sorry man." He said, his wings flitting nervously. "What's up?" The vibration from below answered his question. "Demon?" he asked. Ark shook his head. "What is it?" All he did was shrug. That was never good, when an angel didn't know what he was fighting. "Big." Was all he offered. Alum unbolted the door, instantly grabbing the turret, making sure it was ready. He unlocked the cage, throwing the shotgun to Ark. He waited, allowing the thing to come up the reinforced stairs. It was big, it made the entire concrete floor shake. The being that rounded the corner was more like a monstrous human, but its skin was black as night. Demon. Or so Alum thought. As soon as it saw Alum and Ark with the guns, it stopped, raising its hands in surrender. "Who are you?" Alum asked, the sign the only thing keeping him from shooting it. "I...don't...know." The thing said, it's voice long and deep and winded, catching air and gasping after each word. "What the Hell do you mean you don't know?" "I...am...strange..." "Damn right you are. Are you Demon?" Alum asked. It raised a hand, seperating its thumb and forefinger about an inch. "Part?" It nodded. "Part what else?" Alum asked, the turret's barrel faltering. The part-Demon pointed at Arkaeus. "Part Demon, part Angel?" He pointed to Alum. "Part Demon, part Angel, part human? How'd that happen?" He shrugged. "Are you of any threat to me? Arkaeus?" The being shook it's head. "I just...wanted...to play..." It said. Play? Alum thought. "How old are you?" Alum asked. "Si...seven." It saad. It was just a human child, morphed and mutated by...something. Alum lowered the gun. He couldn't shoot this being, not just a child. "Come in. Do you remember anything?" "No...I...just...wanted...to play...with...the...birdie...man..." Alum had to smile. Birdie man. That was new.

Tyrisa tended his wounds quickly, as a young angel, she had been blessed with a near limitless supply of Magic, making her both an Asset and a liability, she could heal anything but if the agents of hell took her she would no doubt be used against them, or used to spawn a near limitless fountain of demons. He awoke to see her smile and a knowing nod. "you always did get yourself into trouble Shyl." Having known one another for a long long time, they trained together for short periods and learned what they could from one another, Shyl learned the limits of his magic and Tyrisa learned to defend herself. "Your wounds are gone, the minor aches will reside shortly" still smiling, but quickly turning to a scowl," You TOLD me you wouldnt do anything reckless." Shyl smiled and accepted the scolding, he was just glad to hear her voice again. "I swore to uphold the heavens and strike down the demons, i ---" "You made a promise to me first!!" she said, voice rising to a near crescendo of her magic spilling forth, she stopped herself and the only signs of magic was the glow of her hair, which always glowed a faint white. "That i did, but i have to get the attention of the Archangels somehow, if i could just---" "NO, you are NOT going to do that again... hear me?!" she said loudly, keeping her power under check this time. HE shook his head and stood up," i have to go, the forces of heaven need me." "But what about ME!", she said, her voice filled with sadness and her eyes rimmed with tears " You nearly died, you dont even realize it because your so worried about showing the Archangels how amazing you are" " I just--" "No you dont, i know no matter what i say your just going to rush back out there and get yourself into a big mess, Just promise me this one thing... Promise me you will see me again, promise me you wont die without seeing me one last time." She said her eyes filled with tears, her hair glowing brighter with magic. "I promise ill see you again, i promise i wont die without seeing you again." he said. Without another word he brought himself close to her and hugged her tightly, the strength of his arms comforting her, she slowly calmed herself. "Thank you Shyl, remember your promise" she said softly. He turned around, picked up Azure Wrath and strode out to find more demons to kill
