It's not bad. The sound likes to crap out, but with my roommate's speakers I can hear okay, and since DM & co. trust me not to cheat, I don't have to have a webcam trained on my dice.
It's not as good as being there, but it's a way to get my D&D fix :3

xD Awesome, sounds like a good group. I went with my classic halfling cleric - it was my first time gaming with a group of strangers, and my first time on 4.0, so I figured I'd go with what I was used to. Plus, nothing else appeals to me, and I'm always a halfling. Did a human once, did a dwarf once, but halflings are my comfort race. My next one will probably be rogue.
Our group is small; especially compared to that one. Our DM plays the NPCs (which we usually kill, because they have a tendency to be egotistical bastards that deserve being put in their place - six feet under, or fed to the dogs :3); my friend plays a drow rogue; and we have a dragonborn and an orc, but I'm not sure what classes they are. Either fighter or barbarian or wizard. I think the dragonborn is a wizard and the orc is a barbarian. But I'm not sure. Sometimes we get some of our DMs friends in on it, but they don't stick around.

OK heres the updated class / race list i found Newest additions only: races: deva - immortal spirits who embody virtue reborn to mortal life gnomes - sly tricksters who avoid notice goliath - tribal nomads of the mountains (sorta like a halfogre, extremely large and powerful, but more intelligent) halforc - human and orc halfbreed shifter - sorta like beastial humans, fusion of civilized and the wild race. new classes: avenger - powerful attack paladins, very powerful barbarian - a raging warrior adept with two handed weapons bard - a leader who sings inspiration or fear among those around him druid - nature loving casters, sorta like a hippie invoker - divine casters, they cast divine spells to attack instead of defend shaman - spiritual leaders, spirit talkers sorcerer - a wizard made solely for damaging single enemies warden - defender who can take forms like a druid for a defensive ability Extras: added in Dragon #366 Minotaur race - self explanatory Just picked up Player hand book 2, not the book, i found a downloadable pdf version i have the feats and all as well.

Wow. Half-orc and gnome are considered "new"? I haven't flipped through the 4.0, but for some reason I find that surprising. And I'm surprised they're reinstating druid, bard, and sorcerer. I've always thought wizard/sorcerer redundant classes.
