The Age Bringer:
Note- Ten Forward is open in the middle with stairs between the levels so both halves can be accessed and easily seen.
Hydroponics is a level dedicated to fresh fruits and vegetables. It also sports a park/garden and anyone is allowed to walk through or spend time there, but security guards are assigned there to prevent food theft.
((Muah! I am a big Star Trek fan, and my charrie has been dying to join a role play for sometime now. I will try to cut back on her freakishness, but, she has a VERY long and detailed history. I tell you, freakish.))
The captain stood proudly aboard her star ship, the Age Bringer. It was a large ship, carrying a working crew of 300 and their close family. Supposedly a ship of exploration, travel and vacation, only the best of scans could tell that this was no simple science ship. It held a whole arsenal of weaponry, including 5 phaser banks and 4 photon torpedo tubes, not to mention the Ionic Cannon. It was equipped with a triple-plated hull and dual-shielding, plus an added bonus of a cloak, which did not need to deactivate when anyone transported, nor did the shields need to be dropped when the cloak was shut down, only when anyone transported. Overall, a very competent little ship. Of course, little wasn't the best way to describe it. At 1050 yards, or 7 football fields long, or 960 meters, the ship was the largest in the fleet. It was about 20 decks tall, 1 deck of which completely dedicated to large holographic rooms (About 20 of them) and another for free time. All systems were top-of-the-line. Obviously, this was a Starfleet ship on a special, secret, mission.
((This next section is in first person for the ease of typing and reading. Of course, I think my charrie was just being obsessive about her ship. After I am done with this section, I will stop writing in first person.))
Crew and Passenger Orientation
It is the year 2384, roughly 5 years after Nemesis took place. For the ease of my passengers and crew, who range among a wide variety of species, my ship runs based on Earth military time; in other words, time ranges from 0000-2359 and dates are kept in basic month and day format. I run a tight ship and have strict rules on cleanliness, but since we run long missions, I allow rules on fraternizing and titles to be lax with other passengers and crew. However, I will not tolerate special treatment from higher ranking crewmen to lower ranking crewmen. The mission of my star ship is highly confidential and is only known by myself (The Captain), the top leaders at the United Federation of Planet Headquarters and my First Officer. I give promotions as I see fit. I need your orders and Personnel File when you come aboard. My ship requires a crew capacity of 300, but we are currently running at 280. Total ship capacity is 2000, we are holding 1670. There is a school classroom aboard our ship that has an elementary teacher, older children will be in the same room but work with teachers on other planets via a visual communicator. Children are allowed in all non-secure locations except in matters of extreme urgency or emergency.
Captain Troi finished off the last of her coffee in her ready room, savoring the view she had of the planet they were orbiting. They had just arrived to pick up supplies and check for any new crew members Starfleet may have sent. Perhaps there was even someone who needed transport to a planet on their itinerary. As she turned, her eyes caught the placard on her desk that read, "Captain Troi" and smiled. Deanna Troi, well, Deanna Riker, now, had been her adoptive mother. She had no first name. She was just, Troi.
She stepped through her doors onto the deck, tugging her shirt down in a Picard-like fashion- she had served under him for years and picked up on his habits, including his love for hot Earl Grey tea. Her long, light tan hair, which normally hung to her waist, was up in a loose, neat bun so non of it touched her collar. She had sparkling dark green eyes and nicely tanned skin (from tanning on the holodeck). Her uniform was, of course, typical Starfleet officer issue- red uniform with a grey jacket (Which she currently wasn't wearing). She sported small, diamond earrings for no particular reason. As her first officer stood up out of her chair, he announced, "Captain on the bridge!" and sat down in his chair. Troi nodded to him, "Resume your stations." she said in a soft, yet easily heard tone and headed over to her seat to sat down quietly. A large, shepherd/retriever mix dog lay beside her chair, head raised in an attentive manner. She stroked his head, crossed one leg over the other, propped her elbows on her raised leg and rested her chin in her cupped hands. She watched the planet spinning beneath them for a few moments, then checked her messages to see what she needed to do on this planet.
((Now is when you have your message or crew transfer papers show up onto her computer for your character to be picked up (Starfleet or not) or have your character bring her something to look at. You can be one of my bridge crew members if you wish, just please submit your orders and Personnel File. These aren't the easiest roleplays and require quite a bit of skill and imagination. Are you up for it? ))
