Mari's eyes glittered with delight as Devlyn recognized her. "I'm doing okay. Gotta couple of bruises and scratches, but I don't think I broke anything. Mom always said my small form would be helpful, though I don't think she meant this." she sighed, shaking her head, "Gund's doing okay, too, though he is really scared. He doesn't understand what's going on, and I can't help him. I am not sure, either. All the people laying around in the sand...They don't look too good either." Mari peered intently at a dead woman nearby, her young eyes and mind unable to make the connection of the dead lady's pained expression and nearly severed midsection. The girl clutched Gund tighter, her chest feeling tight and constricted, "What's gramma gonna say when I don't get there? She's gonna yell at me, I just know it. She's very strict." Shaking her head again, Mari seemed to refocus on life around her, then remembered her manners. "Oh! How are you doing? I hope you aren't hurt or anything." Her bluish eyes quickly scanned the woman urgently, worried that her new best friend might collapse on the spot like her brother did whenever he went into his shaking periods.

Annabel walked over and leaned against a tree, her leg was hurting, she slowly sat down and pulled up her jeans, wanting to see what was causing the pain. She winced slightly as she gazed upon her bloody limb, hoping that it looked worse than it was,. She sighed and ripped off the bottom half of her jeans, then proceeded to wrap the cloth around her leg, wishing that the pressure on her wound would stop the throbbing of her bloody leg. She tried to get up, but the ground came up and wacked her in the head, causing her to lose consciousness.
Vivian strolled after the three people, carefully watching the man, making sure that he wasn't going to hurt them. Her instincts told her that he was a bad man, but seeing him watch the girl and boy like that proved her beliefs.

((The other people that haven't been claimed as characters? Umm... Dunno. Make something happen with them. We'll all control them, either as a group or in different groups at a time.))

"Come on, let's find somewhere to sleep." Mark said to Rachel. The two made their way to a large fire that someone had managed to create, they were currently piling logs onto the fire, several people had already found their sleeping places around the circle of warmth. Even though it was a tropical island, it was chilly at night. Rachel helped Mark lay down, and she layed down next to him, one hand on his chest, curled up against him. He lay straight on his back. The two were soon asleep, exhausted from their tavels and the days events.
Alex rolled over, the small seat uncomfortable, but something. A small lemur hopped into the cabin. He glanced at the fire, then at the sleeping human, then at the pile of food. He hopped over and picked up a snack bar, chewing through the wrapper, and into the crunchy granola beneath. He sat on the floor beside the fire, munching happily. Alex remained oblivious behind his music.
Matt shrugged. Best to do action in the morning, no sense bumbling about in the dark. So he followed an interesting pair to a bonfire, and he layed down next to them, taking his shirt off, using it as a pillow. "Good night everybody." He said loud enough for people to hear, but not too loud. "Good night!" He got at least one reply.

The next morning, the sun rose over the water, and Rachel stirred. This, in turn, woke Mark. Rachel sat up and rubbed her eyes. Many other people were still sleeping, but she had been right in the sun's path. Mark layed on his back the entire night, and after Rachel stood, she reached down and helped him stand. He was stiff, his back cracked a few times as he stood. Rachel listened around er, hearing mostly the soft breathing of the still-living people. A man laying next to her, who had gone to sleep breathing heavily, wasn't breathing anymore, but she could still hear sound waves bouncing off of him. Matt was still snoring soundly. Around them she could hear soft murmering. a group here a group there. Rachel supported Mark to the shore, where they found a rock to sit on. Mark looked out into the water, and Rachel listened to the waves beating against the rocks. Every once and a while the spray would reach them. Rachel had her arm around Mark's waist, and Mark had his left arm around her shoulders. They sat in silence, enjoying the company of each other, and the sound of the ocean.
Alex rolled over, and he woke up. The light outside the window was dim, it was still early. He was about to lay back down and go back to sleep when he saw a small lemur curled up beside the embers of the fire. He reached over the monkey and grabbed a bit of kindling, and draped it loosely over the embers. It took a moment but the leaves caught, and he put a few branches over it. The fire grew larger, and the small monkey's ear perked up, and he lifted his head, peering at Alex with one eye. Alex stood still, but the monkey layed his head back down. His tail flicked a few times, and he was still, save for his soft breathing. Alex smiled, stroking the lemur down his back, and layed back down himself, going back to sleep.

Annabel got up slowly, a crick in her neck, she had been unconcious on the ground for quite some time she surmised looking at the now light sky. She bit her lip as she slowly stood up on both legs, her right leg had turned a light purple color, it now looked like one big bruise. She wrapped her arms around herself and tried to make her way towards the beach, thinking that something may have washed up on the shore from the plane. She made her way to the beach easily, albeit painfully, and glanced around.
Vivian didn't sleep. It was not that she wouldn't, in fact she really wanted to too, she was very tired, it was that she couldn't. She didn't feel right in this place, matbe it was just the fact that she didn't know where they were exactly, or maybe, just maybe, it was that man from last night. That man who seemed so much like a predator about to capture his prey.

((warning... This next post is about as graphic as I believe it is going to get for this thread... If you wish to not see the evils of mankind laid in front of you then I suggest you do not read this or any post about Daniel.)) Daniel walked the semidark beach alone. The full moon was bright and beautiful but he didn't care. His eyes focused onto a person carrying one of those lantern flashlights. Daniel grinned like a shark. That girl sat next to him. The pretty girl had long black hair and dressed stylishly for her age, a californian prep.k Her name was Candice but she preffered to be called Candii. Daniel knew all this becuase the seventeen year old girl didn't like to follow the rules and saw fit to whip out her slim pink cellular phone the moment flight attendants weren't looking. Daniel glided toward he. Up close she looked the same plus some scrapes and bruises. "Hi Candy, remember me?" She did remember him, as the cool guy who listened to what she had to say about her school and her friends. "Hi Danny!" Daniel cringed at the atrocious nickname. "Are you ok? This is horrible!" "Yes, I am fine. Woud you come and talk with me?" She nodded and Daniel led her into an abandoned clearing in the forest. He stopped and turned to Candice, leaned forward putting his head uncomfortably next to her he said. "I just wanted you to know, your secret is safe with me" A sinking feeling went through Candice's heart. She knew it was her fualt. She took a hesitant step away. "What secret?" She poretended not to know. "The secret that it was your cell phone calls that cuased the plane to crash." A larger, still sharklike smile. "It's safe with me if you do something for me." "It's not my fualt the plane crashed. It was a mechanical error." She said without conviction. "It was yor cell phone . What do you think the people will do to you if they find out it was your fualt all these people died?" A tear was on her cheek. "Don't tell!" She sobbed. She hated herself. She was a murderer. "I won't." He said placatingly, "But you hace to do something for me." "Anything!" The girl was almost in hysterics.

Alex stirred and sat up, morning rays of sun glinting into the cabin from from the spaces where the "windshields" would have been. The lemur sat up at his movement, and hopped into his lap. Alex put a bit more onto the small fire while he stroked the monkey. "We got a long day today." He said. Today he would find a beach, perhaps people survived.

Annabel grimaced as she reached the beach, debris from the aircraft had washed up on the shore and it didn't look pretty. She shuffled over to the water and grabbed a handful of the sand, she gasped as a small piece of glass pricked her finger. "Shit," she swore quietly. She gazed around the beach, looking for washed up luggage. She was about to continue walking down the shore when a gleam of silver caught her eye.
