In year 4323 mankind realized that they could not stay on Earth. There was hardly any plants or animals, the atmosphere was devastated, and the oceans were toxic. The world was dying. So mankind picked up their bags and left, so to say. Then, about ten thousand years later, after mankind finished setting roots in the new planet, grew, and became wiser about how to use their intelligence, it was decided to send a group of archeologists, scientists, and other assorted people back to Earth to see how their first home faired.
Name: Kaye Age: 32 Occupation: Linguist/archeologist Physical description: Tall, green eyes, long brown hair. ((Just like every other Kaye description))
Name: KC Age: 30 Occupation: Scientist/doctor Physical description: Green eyes, long red hair. ((I really don't feel like making descriptions XD))
When the ship reached earth it looked nothing like the pictures. That makes sense becuase the continents had a long time to move. But the most important thing was that the land was covered in green. That meant life! When the ship landed Kaye was the eleventh to get off the craft. He took a deep breath of Earth air. What a glorious return to abandoned Earth.
((Cory, there will be a small military force, just in case. Keep your lasers set on stun!))

There were many large tents set up around the temperately weathered plains. Inside the tents were sometimes sleeping and living accomodations, for those who couldn't stand to live in the ship a second longer, and some filled with field equipment. Kaye looked around his tent. It felt good to get off of the cramped ship. so far there was no remnants of human civilization so he was pretty much out of a job, for now. He sat on his little cot and sighed. Fresh air tasted good.
KC was going from tent to tent, checking on the occupants health. Generally she was greeted with exasperation but she was used to that. No one wanted to deal with a doctor when they could be studying things like grass and atmospheric pollution. She walked into the next tent.
((Note: The technology and basicly rules are reminiscent of Star Trek. The ships are like star trek ships, the guns are star treky, no beam up devices or holodecks though. I would say the attitude of the people is star treky although there are no vulcans ect.
and yes i know my sentence structure isn't great but you should get the point))

Natalie liked tents. It was a conclusion she reached maybe a minute earlier, stepping into the place she slept and worked from. She liked having her lab close by, and though it wasn't full-scale, it would function perfectly with what she intended to do. Grow things.
Setting her canvass duffel bag on the ground, she looked at her accommodations with great appreciation. She sat on the cot, waiting for further instruction, and let nostalgia was over her. Though this particular tent was nothing like the ones she constructed as a child, there was still a fondness for the sheet-and-table forts fortified with pillows.

As it began to grow dark KC finally finished her rounds. Only a couple of people were unhealthy but that was becuase they had cuaght a cold. The wasn't much she could do about the common cold. She finally made her own tent. It was comfortable, but kind of empty without some of her pictures and things. She had left that on Second Earth though, She only had the necesities of her job and to live.
((more to come I had to stop short))

Name: Ariko Occupation: Field Archaeologist/ Anciaent historian Physical description: 5' 10", short blonde hair, stocky build. Gruff from years of field work, rough hands.
He finished setting up his tent, and he tossed his sleeping gear inside, crawling through the tent. He unrolled his mat, hung his hat on a hook, and took off his shirt. He layed back, glad that the surface below him had stopped moving. He never much like ships. They were always moving. He sighed, hoping that tomorrow he could examine the area. He rolled over, unrolling a map. This was one of his treasures. It was a map drawn by a cartographer that had lived on earth. Few remained, on paper at least. He placed a small film over it, and took out a very fine marker. He circled the spot that they had landed. It was an area known as Germany. He examined the map and scrolled through his computer, scanning old data files. He ha already studied everything there was to know about the area before they arrived, but he liked to make sure. He sighed again, then picked up his field pack. He put his hat on, openeing the door of his tent. Around him were wide plains, a few hills in the distance, and further south he could see mountains. He walked to the north, sweeping a ground meter in front of him, trying to pick up anything from under the ground. A few rocks were all he could find. He was about to give up when he found what looked like an ancient concrete building. From what he could see, it was buried far into the ground, and made entirely of concrete. He pulled a shovel from his pack, and began digging.

Kaye heard shoveling. Propably was jst those peole interested in dirt. But it could be. NO, He would not get his hopes up. Ok, Maybe just a peek outside the tent. He strolled to where the sound was coming from. Had someone checked there yet? No. He would just have to ask, if it turned out to be a dirt fanatic he would just go back ot his tent and take a sleeping pill. "Whatcha' digging for?" He asked the man who shoveling.

"Dirt." Ariko continued his shoveling. His hole was now a few feet deep. He could feel the concrete coming closer, and he dug feverently. He dug until his muscles ached, and then he hit solid. The shovel rang, and Ariko's face lit up with glee. He moved aside some of the dirt, and he uncovered a concrete slab. He dug around, and eventually gave up his digging, for the structure was too large. He climbed out of the hole. With his shovel in hand, and a jar of dirt and concrete in the other, he strode back to his tent and zipped it tight.

Kaye was either to trusting or to literal with Ariko. Either way he was back in his tent, dissapointed, before Ariko struck the concrete.

((XP)) Ariko cracked open the container, pouring the contents into an anylizer ((anylyzer, anilyzer)) and pushed his eye against the scope. He tweaked it a bit, and wrote down the reults, and consulted one of his databases, and low and behold, the concrete was carbon dated to about ten thousand years past. He surpressed a scream of joy.
