Standing at an impressive 17 hands at the horse shoulder and weighing in at a massive 2,100 pounds, Akuji Faris cut an impressive figure. The centaur was a Clydestale with Friesan blood, an interesting mix for a centaur. The powerful creature trotted gracefully towards the southwest, moving lightly for such a giant creature. On his human half, Akuji was dark-skinned- a deep chocolate brown. His eyes were a stunning green and grey mix while his mane, which extended from his head like normal human hair and down his back to his horse shoulder blades, was a deep and wavy ebony. His horse half was mostly Clydestale, except he was leaner like a Friesan and his tail was long, thick and wavy, as well as the same ebony color as his mane. Starting at his knees, his chocolate brown hair turned white, and midway down the cannon bone his large, white Clydestale feathering started and his leg ended in an ebony hoof. Likewise on his back legs, they turned white at the hock and halfway down his cannon bone his legs feathered. He was well proportioned and carried himself proudly. On Akuji's back was a bow and a quiver of arrows, as well as a long, thin-bladed sword. He remained shirtless simply because they didn't appeal to him. Strapped to his shoulders were saddlebags of a sort that carried his personal belongings. The stallion looked unconcerned with life as he trotted along, thoughts flitting idly through his mind.

An elegant frame waded out of the cool, clean water from the spring. Four long, strong legs carried the toned body forward. A bright red healthy coat shone bright in the sun. Standing about 16 hh her form was rather slim. It was obvious she was built for speed. Changing from the velvet fur was her torso. Fairly tan, and as her centaurs bottom, fit. Covering her chest was a metal plate of black. It was only inches above the bottom of her rib cage and showed the skin in-between. From there it traveled upward and held in her breasts. From there it curved outwards and fixed into the back. It was simple, but it did it’s job. Cascading down her back were golden rings of hair, wet from her blessed swim. Her lips were a gentle red color; her cheeks blushed from the sun. Her orbs were painted a majestic blue, some what like the heavens, with streaks of the night sky as well. Her face was very fine featured and very open as well. She bent down and picked up her weapon of choice. It was a long silver blade. When engaged in battle it would be engulfed in flames or purple. She slung it over her back, and started a steady trot to the southern planes. She had business to attend there. Elu was smart as a whip and very sassy. She would not let anyone or anything stand in her way and she did not take kindly to those who were arrogant or full of them selves.

Akuji was completely lost in his thoughts, humming softly to himself as he picked up the languid pace to a slow canter while the ground changed from woods to plains, muscles rippling 'neath his dark skin. Ebony mane in the best of care rippled behind him as the wind picked up its own pace- the southern plains could be unforgiving in this respect. Soft clicking filled the air around him as the arrow shafts smacked each other. The humming stopped for a moment as Akuji let out an exasperated sigh- he hoped to find work when he hit the southern cities- last he heard was that corruption was high, which meant a mercenary might be needed. The north had not had such issues.

Elu cantered over the hill and saw the open planes. It was a beautiful moment. Oh how much she missed them! She took off in a dead run and ran to the middle of the tall grass. She smiles as she felt it rub gingerly against her elongated legs of muscle. She closed her eyes and threw out her arms t let the winds lift her heavy spirits. Something wasn’t right. She looked around, and spotted another centaur coming her way. She gripped her sword and watched him. Her horse-like ears flattened on the side of her skull. Not out of fear, but more of a warning.

Akuji snapped out of his reverie in time to see the other centaur (a female, oh joy!) and come to a halt, dropping his rump to the ground and lifting his front into the air slightly in a partial rear. "Umm, Good day!" He greeted her perkily, standing back up and turning his body so he was facing her. She was a gorgeous young mare with a stunning coat. Instantly he felt himself ready to swoon as he wanted to serenade her.

Elu lifted her head some and examined him from afar. He was handsome, that was for sure. “Good day, sire. May I ask your name?” Her voice was gentle and young sounding, as if it were the scents of spring put into an angelic sound. Her ears shot up in alert, waiting for his reply. She thought to herself, ‘What am I doing?’ Her past made her iffy on men, unable to fully understand their tactics on picking up a woman. Always using those fake lines, saying sweet nothings in her ear…They were a waste of time.

"Akuji Faris, miss. And yourself?" In contrast her her lighter, gentler voice, Akuji's was gruff and deep, but held a kind quality underneath the tough exterior. He pawed the ground slightly, ears completely alert as he regarded her. She had a fine, stream-lined body. Definitely a runner. He was built to brawl and carry things- a typical draft horse. His Friesan blood had done him little justice in regards to his body form.

Akuji, what a handsome name. “My given dub is Elu.” His voice, it sent so many shivers over her body. Her hind legs danced slightly, her mind contemplating her options. Move forward and risk it all, or carry on as normal and ignore the brute? She weighed the possibilities for only a few moments before making her decision. She carried her self over to him effortlessly as her strides were long and strong, fast as well. In less than a breath she was within five feet of him. She bowed a nice, deep, respectable bow to him, showing that she was a powerful woman, and not someone to mess with. “Good day, sire.”

"Elu." he said, letting it roll off his tongue. "Beautiful." He bowed back to her, going so far as to put out his front leg and lower his entire body, a grin playing on his face. This mare was no push-over, that much was definitely true. "May I inquire about your destination, Lady Elu?" He asked as he stood up once more, then slowly beginning to circle her, admiring her build.

Elu watched him; a nervous chill filled her blood. “Akuji, I am heading to the southern cities in search of a package. May I inquire as to where you are headed?” she kept her voice firm and very business like. She swished her tail upward to swat a horse fly that landed on her rear. She narrowed her eyes and glared at him. “Do you mind? I am not a trophy that you can admire, I am a being just as yourself, with perhaps some sense of decency and…and…oh, I don’t know.” She stomped her rear foot. She hated being mad. Her brother, Hejim, used to tell her she looked cute when she got mad or frustrated. That’s what her past lover told her as well.

"My apologies, ma'am." Akuji said quickly, looking up and back at her face, "I've never met one that is built so perfectly." He said in all honesty. "I am also destined for the southern cities in search of work." He pointed a thumb at his weapons, "Mercenary." He pawed the ground in a slightly nervous way, shifting away from her and averting his eyes. "I don't mean to upset you." he backed up to his previous spot- facing the Lady Elu.

Elu just watched him, her eyes looking at him with a deep passion of loath. “Tis fine, just remember your place around me. I am not like your typical woman; I will let you know that now. I am trained to fight and I do not take kindly to ignorance.” She gave him a friendly smile. She turned and started walking towards the Southern City. “So, have you been here before?” She wanted to ignore him and call him names, but something kept her from doing so. Perhaps it was his voice, or his looks, his masculine build, or…Oh no. She could not be thinking that. She rolled her eyes for letting herself think such thoughts.

Akuji let Elu get away from him for a few moments, then trotted to catch up with her, holding a step or two back so they weren't side by side, but rather her ahead. "Once or twice before, but I was born in the north and prefer to remain up there." he said lightly, fighting to get back on her good side. "What's your profession, or are you of all trades? I'm actually a trained bard, but that wasn't paying off as well as my dam thought it would, so I switched professions when I noticed a need for mercenaries. That has proven to be quite beneficial, if not my first preferred idea for a job."

Elu took a long breath. “I was born in the Eastern area, hence why my build is so different from yours. We are built more for speed out there, as you know of the ongoing war that is happening over there. One needs to flee when needed. As for my occupation, currently I am in the process of changing. My old job was an assassin, for the war, but that didn’t suit my fancy. It got to boring after a while.” She looked back at him, and in the process of doing so tripped over her foot and stumbled slightly. Her rear shifted, as did her hair. It slid forward, revealing the curves in her back. She lifted her hands to restyle her hair and put it b back into place. Her cheeks were flushed with embarrassment.

"That's why I am leaving for the south. I hear mercenaries and assassins are in higher demand down there. Things were getting to hairy to the north and east." As she tripped, he instinctively threw out a hand to help steady her, "You okay?" He asked with worry- a trip for a horse or centaur could be very serious due to the thinner legs on the species. As he did so, however, he couldn't help but notice her beautifully curved body- she was by far the most beautiful mare he had ever met- all the mares he knew were Clydesdale/draft horse built, not curvy runners.
