(cause im that awesome ) "I wont fight for gods, but i will help if need comes to it. Your obviously powerful, as is this other winged fellow beside me. I feel the gods have cursed me, ive lost so many friends in war, maybe this will give me some favor in the eyes of this god you speak of, though i doubt i will get any recognition from the reluctant being." he said his voice ranging from angered to passive to sarcastic. He just hoped he didnt cause to much misfortune upon these traveler's. whenever he left his forest he seemed to draw things, dangerous things, to the people he was trying to help.

((Sha'laki doesn't have wings in his human form...by the way))
Sha'laki placed his mug in after Angel. "Do not worry my dear. I have died before. It was only for the grace of my friends that I am still alive." He stood up. "Besides, as an old friend once aid in a distant land, "It's not all bad, dying in battle. Sometimes, to die in battle for the ones you love is an honor."" "You haven't been cursed by God, you've simply had too many run-ins with Satan. There's a difference."

Angel chuckled lightly at Sha'laki's comment to Calta, "He has a point." She hauled the bag up over her shoulder, positioning it so it sat nicely, "God curses no one. Satan just likes to play with you. He does that sometimes. I've healed people and sealed them so he would stop picking on them. Maybe I can seal you sometime when I have the extra power to do so." She smiled a bright thing that went all the way into her eyes, "You're a brave one, Sha'laki. I'm honored to have you with me in this fight." She started off along the path, humming a tune to herself. Angel's senses reached out carefully, trying not to drag a group of demons to her, but rather brush against the other spirits and track them down. The spirit prayed to God that they were still alive. He answered her with the same hopeful wish.

Calta sighed, this spirit seemed so detached, she had an air of confidence about her, something he liked, Maybe there was a point to this little mission he had tangled himself into, he smiled. Sha'laki had the same confidence in his abilities, something he had lacked for such a long time. Maybe this was his chance at a new life. He stood and followed Angel, he knew this would be a rough journey, but he didnt care. He smiled, whatever the Demons would throw at them, he would be at thier side defending them.

"Why thank you, Angel." He said, following after her along the trail. "I'm honored to fight alongside you." 'You're always so nice.' A voice said in his head. 'Sometimes, it is good to be calm and kind. That is why I tend to spend long periods of time in other places than Sarmatia.' 'Suit yourself.' 'I generally do.' Anor laughed mentally. 'Just don't get killed, we kind of like you, you know.' Anor said. 'I know. I'm more worried about you starting a war.' 'Too late.' Sha'laki laughed. "You know, Angel, sometimes I actually miss walking. Many eons ago, when I first grew my wings, I never touched the ground. I was always so happy to feel the wind rush by me and the land speed past below me. But now I always fly, and it feels good to just have my feet on the ground and take a nice walk." Sha'laki sighed. "Now, Calta, tell me some about yourself. Where are you from, where are you going, what do you do, what is your purpose in life?" Sha'laki asked the decidedly strange creature. Sha'laki pondered for a moment as he walked, then came to a conclusion. He became a man more befitting his personality. He became an elf, but one of clear age and wisdom. A walking stick appeared in his hand, and he used it to help him along the beaten path. 'You choose to take the form of an old man?' Anor asked mentally. 'You have seen my true form. This is nothing.' 'I liked your true form better.' 'I would destroy half the forest.' 'Father, my name means "power," of course I would prefer that form.' 'Wait a few trillion years, you'll get there.'

(how did Anor join in... im obvioubsly missing something in that post, hes playing two characters ... or sha'laki has a mental visitor in whcih he invented <imaginary friends?> ) "My name was Kant in my former life , a human i believe, i think i died, for some strange reason a voice reached out to me, it told me i was not done, i had something i needed to do." he paused thinking before continuing. " i still havent found out what i need to do, or what will happen when i complete the task." "all i know is that i can still die, so i havent .left my forest in 50 years, waiting for some sign from whatever kept me alive, i left only once and got myself mixed up in a war... and found myself heartbroken." "Maybe this was the sign i needed..."

((Sha'laki is talking to Anor mentally. Since they are both Coristors, they both have infinite mental connections, spanning time and space. Kayla wouldn't have been confused.))
"Yes. I have done that once, except I was the strange voice. It was only recently that the one I saved knew my identity. Maybe you will know your blesser soon. Maybe it was I. But, I only bless few people. And I don't really bless them, I guess, I just allow their journey to continue. But maybe that is one of your issues. Since that one fateful incident in the real world, you have become afraid of leaving the forest. You don't weant to know what lies beyond its borders. You simply want to wait withing the relative safety of the trees, waiting for the sign that will carry you along your way. Maybe your sign lays outside of the forest. Maybe that war and that heartbreak was your sign. I only speak theoretically."

((I DID know what you meant. Which was kinda cool. I automatically had a Kaelia pop up in my mind and say, "ISn't it creepy when he does that? It's scary when Anor knows what I am thinking and feeling."))
Angel smiled kindly at Sha'laki, but didn't speak, rather listening to the men talk while watching and feeling for demon or spirit energy. As Anor went through his suggestions to Calta, Angel's brow furrowed with concern. "Hey, I'm picking something up." She said, her voice concerned. She stopped walking, angelic face turned up to the skies, eyes closed. "I got it. Spirit in nature. To the left, faint." The spirit shuddered, opening her eyes again and peering into the darkness of the forest. Considering it for a moment, she shimmered, then became a small, long hair cat. Her fur was so white it was blinding, and to the faithful eye, her fur was tipped in pale blue, a golden halo sat above her head, and two creamy, feathery wings sprouted from just behind her shoulder blades. Faithless just saw the blindingly white cat. With a glance at Sha'laki, she walked cautiously into the darkness, looking for the hidden spirit. The spirit wasn't far away, laying beneath a tree in the form of a lemur (both the faithful and faithless saw the same thing- a red furred, green eyed lemur). It raised it's head, eyes dull. "A-Angel..." It whispered softly. Blood was oozing quickly out of it's small body, but what was concerning was what mortals couldn't see. Up a few planes, where just Spirits could reside, the lemur was leaking out it's Spirit blood- the stuff Spirits were made up of. "Mir! Can't you jump?" She asked, crouching beside the lemur and licking his wounds. He raised a wrist and shook it. Angel gasped audibly at what was there- a metal band. "Who did this?" She asked indignantly, trying to bite the metal band but releasing it quickly with a pained yowl. "A-A man th-that's been infested wi-with a d-demon." Mir whispered. Angel set her pleading eyes to Sha'laki and Calta. "Can you remove this? It's a special combination of metals that forms a net over Spirits. It burns us and renders us mortal. I can't touch it, and if it isn't removed, Mir will die." Her eyes widened with immense sadness, tail twitching with desperation. "I cannot heal him with that on. It's very similar to steel, but tempered slightly differently and has an extra element to it. I can't recall what it is, but I know the essence of it when I come near it. All spirits do."

Sha'laki chased after the cat. It was almost odd to see a cat with a halo, but he ignored it. When he came to the lemur, Anor said 'Ouch. Keena suffered from that once, remember? When they got attacked in the street and he got shot in the head. The EnSure guys got it off for him.' Sha'laki stepped closer and inspected the band. It was seamless, just a solid gray band. 'Do you know how to remove it?' Sha'laki asked. 'You're asking me? It's tryidiatitan alloy, just snap it open with your wing.' Sha'laki nodded. He became a younger Coristor, similar to the form of Anor. His two leathery wings were folded to either side. "Here." He said. With one wing, he extended the claw that extended from the middle joint. Since Coristor wings were designed not to break in combat, this middle claw was specially suited to break hard metals. He reached forward, carefully slipping the claw beneath the band. He pulled back, but the entire arm just pulled. He used his other wing to pull from the other side. This time, the band snapped loose. 'Thanks.' Sha'laki said to Anor. 'No problem. I've only had to do that once.' 'Well, so have I.' Sha'laki became an elf again, watching the spirits.

Angel immediately took human form and cradled the lemur in her arms, whispering prayers over him. "Okay Mir, I've stabilized you." She said aloud, stroking his fur, then he disappeared. Angel's eyes became distant as she scanned up the planes, taking on a pleased look when she saw that he was safe within Spirit realms and being taken care of. 'Dag?' Angel asked through her mind, reaching out to the troublesome messenger spirit. 'Yeeessss?' Dag's coy voice replied to hers, though he didn't chose to appear. 'Talk to Mir and report to me on what happened to him as soon as you can.' Angel thought forcefully to him- if you didn't set strict boundaries with him, Dag would run around all over the place. After Dag assented and went on his task, Angel turned to Sha'laki. "Thank you. You saved his life." She smiled, then reached out again with her mind. "We have a demonic presence. 200 feet ahead. It's huge. Not quite to Hell Master level, but nearly. Doesn't have the sentience. He's on the Second Overlapping Plane. You'll have to open your special Sight that your gracing gave you to see it. Because of your Gracing, I believe you can see that plane, but can't jump to them, correct? I'll bring him down to this plane, but like I said, I can't fight. I can purify demons and heal mortals and spirits, but I can't fight." Angel became her preferred form again- the cat- and crouched down, waiting for Sha'laki to give her instruction. She wasn't a fighter and knew nothing, really, about it.

"special-sight, how am i supposed to see over the planes, cant help if i cant fight." Calta said mildly impatiant" im not a demon or angel, im a simple mortal, i feel these presences but have no power to see them or even make contact, the blunder by time to time and keep thier distance from me, Is there something you can do to me to help see this... wait, ill jsut shift into cat... maybe then i can see this... demonic presence." He took his favorite form once more and phased out of the material plane. He could definatly see something nearby, large but out of focus, definatly something. He phased back to the material plane they stood on. "i see something, cant fight to well when i phase to that plan, drains me a bit after prolonged visits and slows my reaction time while im there." he said casually " see if you can get it to this plane.

"Do not worry, Angel." 'So what are you going to fight it as? Surely not an old elf.' Anor said mentally. 'It all depends on the size of the creature.' 'I say you should go Coristor and kick it into the next Dimension.' 'Keena's there, isn't he?' 'Yeah, just got back from Ceros.' 'Figures.' Sha'laki said. 'No, just because I can kill something as easily as that doesn't mean I should every time.' 'I really want to come join you.' 'I'm right here. She said she'd pull it into this plane.' 'Yeah, but I'd rather watch this one. I've never seen you fight. And the whole light show in the Ether doesn't count.' 'I don't think this one would be so easily killed by light.' Sha'laki became a Siranian, for the time being. He didn't draw his sword quite yet, he didn't know what kind of weaponry he should use against the beast. He would have to be quick, though. Two hundred feet wasn't much of a distance for a large beast of Hell. "Alright, get far enough back, then pull it into this plane. I don't want you in the line of any...fire. Calta...well...you do what you wish." Sha'laki stood ready, his mind open to a host of forms that his body could take. It just depended on the size and type of the beast. "Whenever you're ready."

Calta stood his displacers ready and active, in reality he was off on the side of the road again, but for the eyes of the others he was right beside them, this is why he loved being a displacer beast. "ok im ready, pull it up and ill take its eyesight first." Calta said to Angel. "This could easily be the first actual demon ive fought, but by god, ill unleash my primal nature at this servant of hell." He glanced at the Siranian and chuckled, an angel and two shapeshifters as the protectors of this plane, how interesting.

((Alright. As a perfectionist of spelling, a few thing have bothered me about your writing, Scott. I'm not saying this to be a nag or just to get on your case, but they really are annoying. First, you rarely capitalize the first words of your sentences. Please do that. And you do the same thing Kevin does. Either write okay or OK. "ok" is not correct. It's "I'm", not "im". "I'll", not ill. That means sick. "I've", not ive. God should be capitalized (always) as should Hell (always). After "active" you need either a period or a semi-colon. After "them" you either need a period or a semi-colon. Again, not to be a nag, but these types of things are a serious pet-peeve of mine.))
