((T-T I got all teary. You used my song. *Joy* It's an amazing song, no?))
Kaelia heard the rustle of Anor landing, as yell as Legend's thrilled chirp to the coristor. She sat up slowly, hair on one side of her neck and revealing the bloody line along her neck. She didn't turn to face the coristor, instead staring at her far wall. Dakota sat up as well, and instinctively Kaelia wrapped her arms around the over-large dog. "Yes, Anor? You may enter, if you wish." Kaelia replied to him, her voice thin and high from her tight throat. Tears continued their path down her face as the princess glanced up to make sure her second room was still hidden. Few were ever welcome there.

((I thought it was fitting))
Anor's wings folded in and disappeared beneath his armor and skin. Anor stepped lightly into the room, trying as well as he could to stay clear of Kaelia’s mind. He could still hear the girls thoughts, just the one’s on the surface. He could feel her sadness and her pain. He could feel the blood as it ran down her neck, he could smell the vial under her nose…Anor withdrew from her mind, he had accidentally allowed himself to much. “I-I heard you. Or I guess I felt you. I just wanted to come…be with you, I guess.” Anor said softly. He leaned back against the sill, his eyes on the girl. She looked so sad, even in the dark. His sensitive eyes could see the blood on her neck. “What happened?” He asked.

Kaelia turned her head so she caught Anor in the corner of her eye. "Despair. It's a powerful thing. It has the ability to tear even the most faithful and hopeful down to nothing. To blanket the strongest of mind with doubt, cold, hateful doubt and fear. Despair found it's way into me, and slowly it has worked into the deepest parts of me, wearing thin what was once strong. But Mother Nature, cruel as she can be, showed me that my despair, while well founded, is not the answer. She made me see. Again. Like I said, she can be cruel. Where death sounded so sweet, she challenged me. I can't take the easy route. Not today." Kaelia's voice grew stronger as she spoke, and soon she stood from the bed and approached Anor slowly on soft, bare feet. "I-I'm sorry if I worried you. Or if you had to feel my pain. I wouldn't want anyone to go through what I have been through, especially through my mind." She leaned against the sill beside him, head dropped low. She felt surprisingly unselfconscious despite being in a thin white nightgown with Anor in the room. Kaelia sighed heavily suddenly, the sound bursting through the air and dissipating quickly. Finally, the elf princess sidled closer to Anor until she was against his side, head resting against his warm chest, seeking comfort.

Anor listened intently. He was sympathetic to the girl. He was almost angry that anyone could put so much grief upon her. "You have nothing to apologize for." he said, wrapping his arms around her, his right hand stroking her hair. "Do not worry, young one. Maybe what Mother Nature said was right. An easy death is never the right path. No matter how many times we may see the path and wish it, it isn't the right one. Rest easy now."

((I'm going to reply, but please if you reply back soon, don't expect one too quick from me. I want to roleplay again but time is a fragile thing for me these days. I will try the best I can.))
The princess sat with Anor a while, but soon crawled into bed and bade her friend good night. The night passed, and many others followed. Rebuilding took place, fixing what had been destroyed. Salogem took his place where his father had been, leading the elves back to their prior glory. Kaelia resumed her old job as messenger, riding through most hours of the day to deliver news and treaties to outlying elven cities, strengthening old ties long lost.
But Kaelia knew in her heart that she no longer belonged in this life, running about and delivering messages. She knew her greater purpose. She was a hunter, a warrior, and she would always remain so. Within the next few days a majority, if not all the Sarmatians, would be returning to their lives as well, going back to their homes and families. It had been assumed Kaelia would remain in her city, with her brother, and help run the kingdom. But the elven princess had misgivings about that plan. She knew she couldn't stay. It was early morning, before breakfast, when the young elf emerged from her bedroom and wandered out into the gardens, dressed in merely a summer gown, pale blues and oranges dancing across it. Even as the colors clashed, they mingled alluringly. She sat upon a bench, crossing her ankles and letting her sandals rest upon each other. Preparing herself for what may come in her future, she caleed out to Itsaki, simply by saying his name aloud and with her heart in a questioning manner.

Keena perched on the balls of his feet, looking down on the wide courtyard and the city beyond the high walls, so far below. Beyond the city laid the wide Nako Plains, and the peaks of the Kevos Range over the horizon. A slight breeze stirred his hair, and from above, Anor settled lightly on the high pillar atop Tower Akess. "It seems a normal life is not a life long lived." Anor said as he gazed out over the land of Niako. "Since when have we ever lived a normal life?" Keena asked playfully. "Well, you were about two years old..." "That was a long time ago." "Exactly." "I can feel a sort of deepening, a darkening." "Like it was with the Shadows?" "No, different."
Itsaki alighted gently upon the bench, after a light tug had urged him to. "You look beautiful today." He said as he sat comfortably.

Kaelia blushed slightly, looking away. "Thank you." She replied softly. "And you are looking nice yourself, Lord Itsaki." She looked back down at her hands, staring intently at an old scar from some forgotten battle. "What plans have you for your future I mean, what with you returning home and all." She started speeding up her words slightly, so she took a deep breath to calm herself. "Simply, Lord Itsaki, I- I am just curious is all." The princess finished pathetically, grumbling to herself. Legend, her small purple drake, popped into existence and settled himself on her shoulder, purring like a cat. "I haven't seen you in a while, little one." She spoke to the creature, glad to have a distraction.

Itsaki sensed the girl's hesitance, but ignored it. "Please, just Itsaki." He asked. "And as for my future, I believe things in Akess have gone long enough without me. Soon, I must return and rule the Sarmatian people, as is my duty. If you wish, you can come with us, the other Siranians and I will be leaving in a few days, maybe less."

"My Lor- Excuse me, Itsaki, I appreciate the offer. I'm afraid, however, that I would be useless to you. I am a warrior. I hunt prey, enemies, and I fight." Kaelia reached over and took his hand in hers, her touch light and gentle, "Unless, of course, you have use for me?" She released him and stood, Legend wobbling as he readjusted his balance as the princess moved. "I sense a growning enemy, one of great strength. My place will be there if you feel I wouldn't do well in your presence. Trotter, Dakota and I are used to danger. And we must protect the weak and innocent. This forest holds many of such. I love my home." Kaelia jumped from one train of thought to another, quickly, restlessly. Her body felt hot and itchy. She had to do more with her life, and soon. Mother Nature herself willed it.

"Keena is with his own people trying to figure out what is coming this way. If it does come down to a war, then all of our homes and all of the ones we love will be in danger. And if it comes down to it," Itsaki looked Kaelia in the eyes, "I am going to need all of the warriors I can get." Itsaki placed his other hand on top of hers. "Eventually, there will be war. And this life of being a messenger will not suit you."
Anor climbed down the spiraling staircase, deep into the earth. He held a ball of fire in his right hand, and he held it before him as the stairway opened into the Great Library of Cjego. It was built before the Titans left Sarmatia, to be a collection of all of the mystical knowledge of the Elders and the ones who came after them. Few people ever came to these depths, but now Anor needed these texts. "Is there something specific you're looking for?" The guide inside asked. "Something from before the First Age, First Era. From the First People." "Well, someone was in here recently looking for the same thing. Come, this way." Anor followed the small, cloaked man through the huge cavern of shelves and tomes. The guide stopped at a tall case of books, reaching higher than the light of the fire could see. Then the man rose up, hovering about 15 feet above the ground. He pulled out a thick tome and returned to the ground beside Anor. "Here you are. Take a look, or look around. If you need anything else, come ask." And the man disappeared. Anor left the flame in midair to open the book. But before he did, he saw the note that was stuck to the front cover. "Page 47. Skip the first paragraph. But then look at page 642. -Keena." Anor rolled his eyes. Of course Keena had gotten here first. But Anor flipped the old pages to a handwritten 47. He began at the second paragraph.
Then the rebellious group left the hunting grounds to the north. They followed a herd of elk across the land bridge that the glacial advances had revealed. After six months of blizzards, they never realized that they had crossed into a new continent. The main group followed after several years, but the rebel group had made their way into the lands to become America.
In the heart of the North American continent, this group, only 27 now, constructed a stone pillar. It was almost 50 feet tall and was said to contain the spirits of all of them. But the pillar was said to contain malice, as the rebel group hated the ones who had sent them across the glacial lands.
Almost 10 years after the construction of the pillar, a large group from the Romilian group appeared. The rebels, now 37, slaughtered the entire Romilian group in the night. In a six night ritual, they were said to transplant the souls of the slaughtered men, women, and children into the pillar.
Anor turned to page 642.
During the construction of the Washington Monument, the Order of the Masons placed a single Bible in the first cornerstone. They believed that it was the Lost Word, able to one day save humankind. But inside of the Monument's foundation, they placed the Aroccan Pillar, (referenced on pages 47 and 221), as a symbol of strength and long lasting. Anor closed the book. "Dammit, Keena." he whispered.

Kaelia saw the look on Itsaki's face, and her own clouded over as she tried to listen to the psychic waves. Unable to hear much besides garble and white noise, she finally inquired, "What's up? And I'm totally game to a fight. When do we leave?"

"The Demons seem to be looking for something. I don't know what yet, that's what Keena and Anor are trying to find out, but if they find what they're looking for, it won't end well for us." Itsaki told her. "We're sending word across Sarmatia. Every Siranian will be there, as well as some of Keena's allies. Whatever they're looking for, Keena's preparing a war for it."
