((Okay, so the whole shpeal below is pages 8,9,10, and 11 of another thread on a different board. If you wish to read it, Itsaki's and Kaelia's posts are seperated with a ++ for clarification. That board went dead, so I figured if I move it here it might return to life, if Kaelia ever ended her blasted elven holiday. For those of you wo read this and have no clue about pages 1-7, Kaelia meets up with Itsaki, etc, Itsaki, Tarya, Akuji the centaur, Kaelia and others go on an assassination mission in which they kill the king and five leading generals. This is after they assassinate the mentioned people and they are leaving/escaping.))
Kaia felt a point on the back of his neck. He smiled a small grin, and spun like lightning, sword raised, to face the figure behind him. He knew she would duck, because she knew what he had reflexes. He was an elven warrior after all. He stopped, low, the point of his sword not half and inch from her neck. He smiled at her, and stood up again, resheathing his sword. "I found him, and slew him, at the feet of the king. Tarya has already contacted me. He has slew the others. They are waiting." He turned and continued back down the corridor. ++ Kaelia sauntered along behind him, rubbing the red mark the general had left on her face. Akuji sighed, "Well, at least someone got him." Kealia snorted, angrily, "Too bad it wasn't me." Akuji shrugged, then popped into a room and began plundering the area. At Kealia's apalled look, he said, "Hey, I'm a mercenary. I need to make a living." She shook her head and ran to catch back up with Itsaki. ++ Itsaki tried to hide a grin as he spun and turned away. He knew that the area would be on full alert as soon as they found all of the bodies. He walked along the silent corridors, a knife hilt extended slightly from under his bracers. He kept close to the walls, ready to duck into a doorway if someone came around one of the corners. He follwed the hallways by memory, Listening intently for any sign of anyone coming. He turned a corner, and ther at the end was a door. It was a back door, often used by servants and kitchen staff. Just as he had instructed Tarya, the lock had been barred open so subtly, it could only be seen if closely inspected. He went to the door and pushed, and the door opened with only a soft creak. He got out the door, when he heard shouts coming from the labyrinth of corridors behind him. His elven ears picked out the words quite clearly. "Help, help! The king is dead!" ++ Kaelia slunk along behind Itsaki, a look of serene calm on her face. Trotter was waiting outside, pawing the ground impatiently. She mounted him, and with a nudge from her knees, he turned towards the exit obligingly. "Need a ride out, or are you going to call that wild beast of yours?" She grinned, Legend perching on her shoulder and nuzzling her neck and Dakota standing at the back gate, eyes glittering. Akuji ran a sword through the person that had yelled, and thus ensued an intense battle down the stairs and out. He waved to Kaelia and Itsaki, then was gone out the gate and into the balck night. ++ Itsaki looked after Kaelia with an offended look. Wild beast? Anor walked up next to Itsaki with a scowl. 'Wild beast? She just called me a beast.' he said into Itsaki's mind. "I know." Itsaki hopped onto Anor's back, and without a nudge, aNor sprinted towards the stone wall that encircled the city. Anor rode up a set of stairs that led up to the top. Anor ran over a pair of surprised guards, and with a leap, sprinted off the wall into the swallowing darkness ahead, ignoring the shouts and yells behind them. Itsaki rode to the vikings, and as he passed them, he said, "I am deciding to be your distraction." He pointed behind him, where soldiers came out of a side gate. "There are your targets. You and your men decimate them." Itsaki then rode to Tarya. From Tarya's viewpoint, he could see all of the soldiers in the castle coming together and pouring out from the main gate. Make sure Akuji and Kaelia are clear of the castle. Then open fire. Tarya watched as Akuji and Kaelia rode away from the castle, and with a signal with his hand, a hundred thousand silent and invisible arrows rode through the night sky, hungrily eyeing their next victim below. ++ Kaelia glanced up as she heard the hiss of arrows overhead. SHe nudged Trotter into a gallop and joined Tarya and Itsaki. "Good eve, Anor! And don't you doubt it for a minute- you are quite the wild beast these days." She said perkily, then watched the stream of arrows wail on soldiers. "Well, now what?" She said quietly, stroking Trotter's mane. He nickered and shook his head playfully. ++ "Now, we dominate." Another volley of arrows continued overhead, as from behind them, ranks of soldiers filed out of the trees and onto the flat plain before them. Another wave, and most of the soldiers had cleared the trees. Another, and all of the soldiers were well clear of the trees. Another wave, and the soldiers were almost to the site of carnage. The arrows stopped as the soldiers entered the city. There mission was simple: kill the soldiers, spare the civilians. do no damage to the castle itself. Itsaki waited on Anor, reading his thoughts and rolling his eys. Constantly going through Anor's mind was, "Am I really that much of a beast? My coat was just shined yesterday. Do I need another round already? Is it my size? I can't help but be big. I haven't killed anyone recently...Damn you, you still-elf part of me, won't you give it up that you are no longer an elf, you will never get an elven girlfriend dammit. Though I hear the current Battle Dragon is a female, and I hear she's really cute... Oh wait, can Itsaki hear me? Oh, dang, he can! Um... 1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8..." Itsaki smiled. He surveyed the current battle, if you could call it that. Tarya's soldiers had already taken control of the walls, and the knights were going through the streets. Swordsmen were entering the castle. ++ Kaelia glanced up at Itsaki curiously, "What's so funny up there?" She frowned at his smile, wondering how a battle could be so exciting. There was a lot of death involved. Suddenly, Legend took off into the air and Dakota howled loudly after the beast. "Dammit. LEGEND!" She hollered, but the drake flew off into the darkness. Mumbing curses, Kaelia pulled her charm out from her shirt. Clutching it with both hands, she mumbled a few words, then quickly transformed into a large, owl-like bird. "Damn lizard is gonna pay." She snapped her beak, then dashed through the air after Legend. Trotter snorted and pawed the ground anxiously. ++ "I'm not laughing because of the battle..." but before he could finish, Kaelia flew away. "Ugh." He looked to Tarya. "Watch over, umm, things here will you?" Tarya rolled his eyes as Itsaki rode down the slope towards the castle. Since there wasn't anything left up at the top of the hill, Tarya looked after...the horse. Itsaki rode into the city. A captain gave him a reprt, that all soldiers had been destroyed, all houses and buildings searched, and the castle cleared. The civilians were currently in the City Hall building Itsaki rode to the castle to clean up. ++ Kaelia darted after the runaway drake- he was headed for a swamp nearby and had apparently seen something of interest. He circled over the swamp, looking perplexed. 'Shiny things?' He thought to her as she clamped her talons around him. 'Lost lady- see shiny things?' He thought again. Her sharp eyes pierced through the darkness, and she was startled at what she saw. "Go get Itsaki, NOW!" she hooted, releasing the drake. He darted away, aimed for the castle. With a screech, Kaelia retook her elven form and dropped into the middle of the huge advancing army, drew her sword, and started round 2. ~~~ Legend darted over the tree where Trotter stood, but Itsaki wasn't there. Perplexed, he went to the castle. The purple drake easily picked out Anor and circled Itsaki's head, squeaking in an upset manner. ~~~ Too many. She was good, but there were too many. A pile of bodies surrounded Kaelia, but she was getting weary after the first battle. The numbers here were great, as was their skill. These were well trained men. A few of them knew basic magic, and she was, quite frankly, tired of getting set on fire. Out of nowhere, a man kicked her in the knee, sending her to the ground. She continued fighting from her kneeling position, blood pouring from multiple wounds. 'I have fought commendably.' She thought, mumbling her death prayers under her breath. She had slaughtered over 100 men, but she was beginning to grey out and she couldn't see the end of the army yet.

Itsaki looked to Anor. "What's he saying?" Anor faced Itsaki. "Help." Itsakithought for a fraction of a second, and then, "Kaelia!" Anor's eyes instantly glazed over with magic, and a white globe enveloped them, including Legend. When the globe dropped, they were back at the site where Tarya was... the whole process took less then a second. Anor was a much more powerful magician then Itsaki. 'That wasn't me.' Anor told Itsaki, reading his thoughts. Itsaki scanned the area, and was surprised to only see a lone horse. Kaelia's horse. 'Where's Kaelia?' he thought. Anor took off in the direction that Kaelia had flown, into the forest. * * * * * * * * * Tarya looked up to see a frantic Legend fly overhead. He had heard the creature long before he saw it. Itsaki told him to look after things, so he decided to ride in the direction that Legend had flown from. It was a short ride before he came to the swamp. Strange creatures roamed these swamps, and that was why the nearby city stayed away. Tarya heard battle long back. He now saw Kaelia in the midst of an army, and losing. He reached into his pouch and quickly pulled a red and white crystal, and smashed it against the ground. He then quickly pulled his bow, and with a burst of elven magic, and exploded against the nearest soldiers head, injuring several around him. All attention was now on him. He was able to loose several more exploding arrows before they were within melee range. "Here we go." he said to himself as he drew his sword. * * * * * * * * * * * Anor sprang into the air, wings spreading wide. Below, they watched a few explosions, and the army converge on Tarya. At this low height, some of the soldiers looked up at Anor in shock, but quickly resumed their battle. Itsaki sprang off of Anor's back when he came over Kaelia. Itsaki landed lightly beside her. Anor landed a moment later. 'Take care of her' Itsaki told him. Anor lifted the elf onto his back as Itsaki charged into the melee, swords drawn and ablaze. ++ Kaelia glanced wearily at Anor as Itsaki took off. "Oh thank Her." She sighed, Sliding her katana back into it's sheath and pulling her bow instead. She started loosing arrows, and even though they flew languidly, they all found their targets and were fatal. Blood poured into her eyes, and she reached up and touched her head tentatively. It stung, and when she looked at her hand, it was red. Her bow fell to the ground; she was woozy, the world spun around her. Nausea rose, and she put both hands on Anor's back to steady herself, focusing on a point of his back between her shaking hands. Her whole body was beginning to shake- it was shock. Her body was going into shock. She touched her arm with a hand- it was freezing. "A-Anor..." She breathed, unable to continue. 'I'm going to die.' she thought, fear about this hitting her full force for the first time. ++ Itsaki's blades slashed until he met no more flesh. When he was beserk, he only attacked, never thought. He didn't even realize he had switched. Tarya was ducked low behind him. "You done?" he said.Tarya was one of the only people that could be sarcastic with Itsaki and get away with it. Itsaki resheathed his blades. "Yeah, I'm done." Around him, Over a thousand bodies were strewn around the swamp. Some were sinking into muck, while others lay strewn across low tree branches, catapulted by a forceful strike. They were all the same though. Some were missing parts, while others were only half. Some couldn't even be identified. This was the catastrophic result of Beserk. Itsaki rarely found himself in it, but he couldn't watch Kaelia die. As the thought struck him, he noticed that he was far from where he began, obviously chasing down soldiers that tried to escape. They had no chance. One thing was for certain, Anor and Kaelia were nowhere to be found. * * * * * * * * Anor flew over the land, the details were a blur below him. Anor had powerful magic, but he was not powerful enough to save Kaelia completely. So he had healed some of the major wounds, like the massive gash that ran across her head. Dried blood crusted in her hair. She also had a freely bleeding wound in her leg that he was able to mend. She had been stabbed through the stomach, too, and he was also able to save that. He didn't worry about the lesser wounds though. He needed to save his strength, and her body could take care of those, but not until he could heal her. At the moment, her cold body was slowly being drained of life, encased in a tight embrace against Anor's chest, held tight by all four legs. His leathery wings beat against the air, moving his body as quick as they could over the earth. Oreis, Titan of the Wind, had blessed him with a strong wind from behind. His fur shook with the strong rush of air, but Kaelia was secure below him. Anor knew only one sorcerer who could save Kaelia in the state she was in. Itsaki would kill him later. Before Anor loomed a tilted mountain, from which ancient fire spewed from it's top. Anor flew low, into a high archway, ignoring the two undead guards shouting their protests. He pulled his wings in, for the corridor was thinner than his wingspan, and glided along the hot air. The corridor opened into a Great Hall, in which was a table. At the head of the table was a lone man. A great sorcerer by the name of Itsaki Niako. Anor landed on his back feet, standing ungracefully on the table. He placed Kaelia in his mouth lightly, the way a mother would to her cub. The man looked at him with a mix of surprice and pride. Anor landed on all four feet, and placed Kealia on the table in front of Niako, who moved aside the papers he was observing. Niako stood and surveyed the elf. "She is not dead yet. A goddess is fighting Hell to keep her alive. Desinos will not be pleased. She is fortunate to have a God and his influences on her side though." 'Enough talk, can you heal her?' Anor asked. "Of course I can, my son. Why else would you be here?" 'To visit. And Itsaki's not yet a God.' "Funny, and I'm surprised." "Please." "Alright. It might take a bit though, I need my staff for this one." The old man walked off into a side room, and when he re-emerged, he carried a long silve staff, topped with an intricate design around a black orb. He placed his hands over the elf's eyes, and he began his spell. The orb pulsed in rythym with his words, and a minute later, the blood rushed back into her veins, returning warmth to her body. 'Thank you, father.' "It is all I can do. You did some of the work for me I noticed. Take care of her next time." 'I will make sure Kaia knows.' Anor smirked. Niako scowled at the name. "You did this for K-... him?" 'It's his girl.' Niako almost growled. "Out. Now." Anor almost smiled with pleasure. He embraced Kaelia again, and glided out the way he came. He once again sped over the landscape in search of Itsaki. ++ She woke up, unaware she had even fallen unconscious. Kealia groaned and tried to stretch- she could feel the residue of a powerful magic on her, as well as other things like blood she didn't want to identify. "I'm...alive?" She croaked, her throat dry. She was suddenly startled by a strange fact- she was against something furry. And she was in the air. Way up in the air. She squeaked, scared for a moment, her senses dulled by her near death experience. When she clung tighter to her captor, she realized it was Anor. She sighed with relief. "Anor. I should be dead. How...?" She slid her eyes closed and curled peacefully in his arms. Slowly, her weak healing magic probed her body, taking care of minor injuries that had been overlooked. Kaelia was suddenly amazed by the most unlikely of facts- her face was wet. She was crying. 'Damn.' she thought exasperatedly, 'This is gonna kill my rep.' She reached up slowly with a hand and wiped away the majority, still silently cussing herself out. 'What am I, a weak pest now?' ++ Anor felt Kaelia moving against him. He could hear her mumbling, too. 'I brought you to a good healer. You are safe now. I am taking you back to Itsaki.' he told her. He tightened his hold on her just a bit more. Gentle, but powerful. Her safety was more important than his own. He flew high, in order to escape notice and any ranged weapons that happened to come his way. He soared over the mountains, watching even the highest peaks zip by him. They flew for another half hour before Akess came into sight. He dipped down into a gradual nosedive, aiming toward a high window that he knew would be open. He closed his wings, gliding into the top floor of Tower Akess. He opened his wings and halted himself in Itsaki's room, where he waited patiently on his bed. "About time you two showed up." He said to Anor. "Good to see you're alright, Kaelia." ++ "It's a pleasure to still be alive and able to see you again." Kaelia inclined her head politely. Legend burst into the window and zipped enthusiastically around her head, chirping with excitement. Her reflexes, apparently unaffected by her near-death experience, allowed her to snatch the drake out of the air. She promptly shoved him down her shirt with a hiss. "Stay!" She growled with irritation. She glanced around the room wearily, "I trust Trotter and Dakota are about and taken care of? As well as the battle was ended successfully, especially since I find myself here in Akess and you seem to be quite alive." She stepped away from Anor and stretched, her bones cracking with annoyance at these strange turn of events. 'And my thanks to you, Anor, for finding one that could spare my life." The front of her shirt wiggled, then made a chirping noise. "Shut up, damn you!" She snapped, flicking the prominent lump that had situated itself on her chest. ++ Itsaki stood before Kaelia. Yes, Dakota and Trotter are both taken care of. Trotter is in the stable, asleep by now, and Dakota is with Salem. And yes, the battle ended. . . quite one sided." Then all of her words registered. "Wait, you mean Anor didn't heal you?" He thought about it for a second, and turned to Anor. "You didn't." Anor gave a motion that would have been a shrug. 'Didn't what?' Anor asked innocently. "Damn you, Anor! You did! You betrayed me and went to, him!" 'For you information, I have nothing against our father.' "He is not our father. He is not yours either, not after what he did to me and Batei. I told you that you should not go to him under any circumstances, and you betrayed me!" 'She was dying!' "We have four hundred healers here! They could have healed her." 'She would have been dead by the time I got here, and I highly doubt they could manage to bring her soul back from the grasp of Desinos himself. Why can't you accept the fact that because of him, she is alive. He healed her, he made something right!' With this, Itsaki fell silent. He could not argue the point anymore, especially not with his brother. He silently walked from the room, leaving Anor alone with Kaelia. ++ During the argument, Kaelia simply dropped onto the floor and sat there, glancing between the two as if watching a tennis match. Her shirt wiggled again, and Legend's head popped out the top, glancing around. As Itsaki walked out, he jumped out and darted after, but Kaelia didn't call him back. The argument had made her profoundly uncomfortable, so she took to cleaning her katana instead, pretending nothing had happened. It wasn't her business- she was alive, and she owed Anor and the mysterious wizard- who was apparently their father- her life. 'Oh dear, another life debt.' She thought, remembering her last life debt. A few people owed her theirs, but she had already visited Desinos twice and paid off her first debt. A new one. She wondered if Desinos would be willing to let her go a third time... Probably not. Kaelia sighed aloud miserably, using a bit of fire magic to repair a small scratch on her blade. Running out of things to do, she simply stared at the ancient elven etchings on her katana hilt. ++ Anor was about to say something before Itsaki left, but he thought better of it. He could still talk to him, and vice-versa, but Anor decided it was better to let him go. Anor looked down at Kaelia, and noticed that she looked a bit uncomfortable. 'Don't worry, he is. . .touchy when it gets to the subject of his. . .of Niako. It all happened a long time ago. It was long before you were born, or else you would know. Niako is, as you have probably figured out, our. . .father. Well, he had a brother named Batei. The Eastern lands are named after them and the Great War that was fought between them. Niako lived in the East, and Batei lived in the West. Now Batei covered most of the Eastern lands, and Niako covered only a small fraction. Niako thought that as the older brother, he should have more control, and wanted some of Batei's land. Batei refused, and Niako made plans for expanding into what is today the Forbidden Realm. He was planning his attack on the Andro when he recieved a message from one of his spies in Batei. His wife, the most beautiful woman in Sarmatia, was caught slipping from Batei's bedchamber during the late hours, when she so stated she was going to the North to fish with her brother. Niako was furious. He sent his entire army, a massive force of over five million men, to go and get vengeance for this abominable act. Now Niako's army was impressive, but it lacked a crucial weapon that all of Naiko's armies have today, and that Batei had plenty of. Dragons. In Batei lies the Oreis Desert, the Dragons' homeland. Batei had long taken control of the dragons there. It was a peaceful treaty though. The dragons fought for Batei, and in return, they had access to an unlimited food source and permanent safe shelter from dragon hunters and other rogue dragons. Niako's army marched over the mountains, and as they entered the area where Osira is now, they were stunned to see nothing but a sea of dragons. They pressed on anyways, and that date is known to the dragons as 'Jakean Hisoran'. The Human Massacre. Five million men died on that day. Not a thousand dragons fell. Niako was devastated. He retreated to his tower, and was not seen for a thousand years. Itsaki had been born by that time, and I was a full elf. Itsaki went to live with his uncle after his mother died. She was the only person that was known to have much contact with Niako. Thay were even married in whatever chamber he exiled himself to. Itsaki lived with his uncle, Batei for a few hundred years, until Niako came out to take his revenge. He had uncovered one hell of a power while he was hiding, for the next day, Itsaki watched as his uncle was killed by his own father. His father laughed. It was an evil, heart renching laugh. I never heard it, but I could feel it through Kaia. He felt as though his own life had ended. Niako took his home in Mount Hellfire in the south of Batei, in celebration of a victory. Itsaki was so fueled with anger, that he and a few of his most trusted friends, went to kill Niako. They wanted to do it quietly, and then show the world his head, so that everyone knew that Itsaki meant it. Well, they succeded in killing him. What they didn't know was that his magic that he found had a nasty after effect. Niako came back to life, undead, never to be killed again. He chained Itsaki to a wall, and made him watch as one by one, he killed Itsaki's friends. That was the first night that Itsaki experienced Beserk. Only one of his friends survived because Itsaki changed. If not for the unstable dragon blood in Itsaki's veins, Tarya would be dead.' With Legend curled around his shoulder, Itsaki leaned against the door, a tear rolled down his cheek. ++ Kaelia sat back on her elbows, staring at the ceiling. So much history, and so much pain. Like hers wasn't pain free. She scoffed to herself in her head, then pushed her memories back into the dark hole she stored them in. "That's...Pretty awful, yea." She scratched her head, and a wave of babble erupted into her brain. Confusion. Sadness. Pain. Kaelia winced as Legend sent her an image along with the mess of words. When that drake was upset, he became damn near unintelligible, but she got this one. She pressed her palms into her closed eyes, then murmured, "I am only nearing 1500 years of age. Just a child compared to you two. Hard to believe I have known you both since I was but a child, but there is still so much we don't- I don't know about you." She stood again and gazed at Anor in silence.
Legend, startled at the man's emotions, nuzzled him and licked his cheek in sympathy and confusion. Her curled his small, warm body around Itsaki's neck and hummed gently.

Anor stored his wings away into his ribcage, and sat down beside Kaelia. 'Don't worry, we don't know much about you either. There are many things that we all keep hidden from others, and from ourselves, in an attempt to ease them out of our lives. Many things that could otherwise destroy us.' Itsaki slid a hand across the drake's head as he listened to Anor. He always was a persuasive philosopher. He trew off the tear, and walked back into the room. 'So nice of you do join us.' Itsaki sat down beside Kaelia. Anor sent a color through the mindlink, and Itsaki suddenly flushed with color. "Don't even start that." Anor smiled, in the way that a coristor would, at being able to at least lighten the mood a little bit. The color remained in Itsaki's mind though, where only he and Anor had access. It was a sparkling blue, mixed with oly the most subtle touch of red and green. It was Itsaki's favorite 'color', because it was the color that his mother often sent him, but most importantly, it was the color that constantly popped into his head when he thought about. . . Anor suddenly stood back up, and stretched his wings. 'Well, I'm hungry. I shall return later.' He turned around and jumped from the window, only to be seen again gliding away from the tower on a warm air current. Anor constantly flipped through colors. Purple with green, Blue with yellow, red with white, all with their own meaning. Itsaki could only sit silently and fume. ++ She watched Itsaki with mild concern- Legend's image was still strong in her mind. Legend crawled down into Itsaki's lap and curled up there, still humming pleasantly. "He likes you." Kaelia said quietly, putting her katana back in it's sheath. Her blue-green eyes met his, they held the slightest hint of sadness, but it was covered up by a steel wall that revealed nothing. "Well, now that the battle is over, you will be having no more need of me. Oh, and Akuji has left, if you haven't figured it out yet- he has a job he needs to cash in on, or something like that." She drew her knees up and hugged them, resting her chin on them, her eyes never leaving him. Kaelia's thoughts wandered amongst many topics in her head, and she shuddered as her mind brushed past her dark hole. She then thought of her power of transformation, and her hand slowly and subconsciously slithered to her neck and she held the charm that was still under her shirt. She blinked slowly, realizing that she hadn't done so in quite a while and everything was becoming fuzzy. "I guess if you won't be needing me anymore, I will need to decide where I will be off to next." Kaelia's voice was soft, more as if she were speaking to herself rather than Itsaki. Legend raised his head and stared at her inquiringly, holding a silent conversation. She shook her head at him, and he snorted, smoke curling through his nostrils. He layed back down again with a grumble. ++ "You don't have to go if you don't want to. Or you don't need to at least. You can stay here at least a little longer if you like." Itsaki told her, stroking the drake curled in his lap. "We may be able to use you somewhere around here. Maybe whip the men into shape?" He said with a chuckle and a smile. "Besides," he said, standing, "You just went through a tough spot, and knowing N-Niako's magic, who knows what may happen. He has the power to create undead, you know. You may be undead on your feet already." He said with a snicker in his mind. ++ Kaelia watched him, her eyes veiled and not giving away any thoughts or feelings going through her. I suppose I could stick around. If you think I would be useful here. But I must leave as soon as possible for a short trip. I won't take long. A few days." She stood and stretched, heading for the door. ++ Itsaki was at a loss. Well, she would come back. Oh shut up you dang fool, Anor's listening. Itsaki was often amused at what went through his own head. "Well, I hope you have a safe trip. Watch out for any armies, he said with a grin. "And if you need anything, just in case," Itsaki reached into his pack, "take this." He handed her a small packet, and a small pouch that could loop around her belt. "Those are some communication crystals. I have my own. Roll it between your finger a few times and I will be able to talk to you. Break it and Anor and I will be tranported to you. They're really handy little things." He smiled, "Besides, wouldn't want you really dead again. I don't even know what you're doing, though. For all I know, you could be taking a stroll through the park." He thought, "Just in case." ++ She took the crystals and gazed at them, resiting her hand and soon enough her body on the door frame. "It definitely won't be a stroll in the park." She said, her voice barely above a whisper. "And it will be very dangerous. All in all a very pleasant trip." She laughed darkly, then walked out and started down the stairs quickly. ++ Itsaki's sensitive ears picked up everything she said. "Well," he said quietly, "whatever suits you." He walked back over to the bed. It was sometime late in the night, and he had not slept since before the battle. He figured he should at least get some sleep before everything started again in the morning. He closed the door, and before he went to sleep, he opened the mindlink to Anor. 'Watch her. Dang troublemaking elf.' ++ Kaelia sighed and went into the stables. Trotter stood quietly in his stall, munching on some oats the stable mate must have given him. Dakota was curled up by the door, dozing. Kaelia shrugged- she had forgotten to gather Legend, but she knew Itsaki would take care of the drake, and if Legend missed her, he would transport himself to her location. Kaelia opened the lock on the stall door and Trotter walked out and headed down the stable eisles, flirting with every mare he came into contact with. Kaelia rolled her eyes, 'What a stallion...' She thought darkly. Dakota darted out int the cool evening air, ready to make way. At the entrance to the stable, Kaelia grabbed her pack and cloak that had somehow found its way here, put on her cloak, strapped the pack to Trotter, then mounted him. She stroked his mane and neck, the taste of nervousness in the back of her throat. Dakota glanced up questioningly. "We need to go back. I have ... unfinished business." Dakota looked shocked at Kaelia's words. "You can't go back. It will mean your life. After what Anor did, you are risking too much!" Kaelia shook her head sharply, "I don't have a choice. I need to return. Now. No arguments. Hai!" She shouted the last, kicking Trotter gently in the sides. He shot off like a bullet, Dakota following behind with irritation. Kaelia was in exile- return of the ex-princess was punishable- by death. After her Uncle Ryaj killed her father and took the throne, he threw out the one witness and the one that could stand in his way, threatening the young elf and beating her within an inch of her life. Dakota wondered what Kaelia possibly had there that she had to finish that was so important she would risk her life. ++ Itsaki didn't wake until early in the morning. He saw the light streaming through his window, and groaned. He didn't want to get up. Not after last night. He heard a small squeak, and saw Legend curled around his bedpost, sleeping. She must have forgotten him. Itsaki sat up, and as he did so, the drake looked up at him. "Het there." Itsaki said, stroking his neck. Itsaki unwillingly threw both feet out of the bed, and stood shakily on his feet. He sleepily put his armor on, which was difficlut because he was so sore from the night before. It takes a lot to swing his swords. No normal man could. And it also takes a lot to swing them in Beserker. He walked out his door, and greeted his guards that must have been posted there sometime in the night. On guard handed him a scroll. On it was written, 'At castle. Good work. Again. Salem.' Itsaki smiled. He opened a mindlink with Anor. 'Hey. You around?' The response? 'No.' 'Where are you?' 'Good question.' 'You following Kaelia?' 'Yep.' 'And you don't know where you are?' 'Nope.' 'Where did she go?' 'Pick a direction.' 'Fine. Just keep an eye on her.' 'From 2000 feet.' Itsaki closed the link, which was pointless, because they were always in each others minds.
Anor circled over the girl. "Where are you?" He said quietly. ++ Kaelia urged Trotter on hard and fast all day- and the speeds of an elven horse were phenomenal. Across prairie, field and desert they ran on, Dakota always right beside them. They continued on through the night as well, crossing through forests and more prairies. As the sun began its ascent into the sky, Kaelia halted before a giant, thick forest. It was intensely dense, and required dismount until a rider who knew the forest could find the roads. If one did not get on a road within the first hour of wandering, there was potential to be eaten and killed by the forests more feral inhabitants. Kaelia dismounted Trotter and stroked his now hot and sweaty neck. Dakota panted behind them wearily. "Alright guys. I understand. You did very well." She pulled a bottle out of a pocket on the inside of her cloak and removed the stopper. Obligingly Trotter and Dakota stuck out their tongues and Kaelia put a few drops of the silvery liquid on each tongue. Instantly the animals were completely rejuvenated, as if they had gotten ten hours of sleep, water and food. She stroked Trotter again, then Dakota, replacing the bottle to her cloak. "Alright, on we go." The elven girl pushed a bush aside and led Trotter in, disappearing into the horrendously thick undergrowth of the giant forest. It only took them twenty minutes to find the road, and Kaelia formed a magical ball of light to shine above them despite she didn't need it. She knew where she was going by heart. The light was just convenient- it kept away bothersome pests that would normally attack her. She wanted to maintain silence in the forest- it depended more on sound as a reference than light. As they continued down the path at a trot, Kaelia remounted her war horse. She pulled up her green cloak hood and assumed a nonchalant pose, as if she had every right to be entering these lands. The lands of the Sindarin Elves.
((I WARN YOU- HISTORY BARF AHEAD- READ AT YOUR OWN BOREDOM!))
As they went deeper into the woods, Kaelia thought about her Uncle Ryaj and the nature of the Sindarin elves. They were a stand-offish race- as Kaelia could acclaim to. She was full blood Sindarin. They were prone to murder and deceit- an overall 'dark elf' type. Her father had been amongst the better Sindarin elves. In fact, his kingdom had been full of the light Sindarins. This forest was divided into four quadrants- Northeast, Southeast, Northwest, and Southwest. The Northeast was where her father- the king- had ruled from the kingdom of the dark forest. Each quadrant was ruled by a governor- the four governors reported directly to the king. Each governor had people that worked under them to keep their quadrant running smoothly. Kaelia's Uncle Ryaj- one of the dark Sindarins- wanted to rule the dark forest. He had poisoned the king and everyone thought he had died of natural causes- choking, per say. Only Kaelia knew the truth, so she had been exiled for, "Not trying to save the king for her own wicked purposes." Basically, the king died of natural causes and Kaelia took that as an opportunistic advantage. Many of the elves, especially the good elves, did not believe this to be true. At the establishment of the royal guard, however, all protesting stopped and Kaelia was put into exile without the worry of rebellion. The exile happened quickly- Ryaj had already formed his royal guard before taking the throne, so implementing them took no time at all. because it had happened so quickly, Kaelia left many important things behind and issues unsolved. She knew her room would still be intact- an earth magic protective seal was over it, and Kaelia- unknown to the rest of the entire world- was the daughter of Mother Nature herself through 'adoption'. Kaelia smiled at that thought. When Kaelia was little more than 70 years old- a child, a baby, her favorite cat had died. She had cried for days because this cat had been her best friend. Twenty years later, at the age of 93, her blood mother had died. Distraught over the loss of both her mother and cat, she took her binding amulet (Which is supposed to be used to bind lovers together) and thrust it into the ground, saying the binding spell as such, "I bind myself to you, life, in hopes that I will forever be able to protect you from evils and console those suffering." As the words of power were spoken, Mother Nature, the most powerful goddess of them all for she was the goddess of life and growth, appeared to Kaelia and no one else watching. She told Kaelia that this a most selfless act, and yet the most selfish of them all. Kaelia would forever have the ability to communicate to the very soul of all life based forms and her earth magic was incomparable to anyone else's. Then Mother Nature herself finished the bin, placed her hand on Kaelia's head and sealed this fate, duplicating and embedding all the power of Mother Nature into the young elf girl. Kaelia never shared this knowledge with anyone, and very few have seen one of her most impressive tricks- transformation. Even those that had been present at her binding had no clue what had happened, except that her amulet had changed from the winged elf angel to a strange and unknown creature that glowed from the inside by a source unknown. The more magic Kaelia used, the brighter the glow got. The elf also uses the amulet to contact Mother Nature in times of need- if she ever remembers. Kaelia hardly uses her magic for anything because she fears what would happen if the world were to know her power- she would most likely become a pawn to the large powers and be forced to fight in armies and conquer lands. Anyone would be tempted with such a force at their command. naturally, whenever Kaelia needed Mother Nature the most (when she was dying) she always forgot that she could call upon the goddess of life. Either way, Kaelia held to her binding promise and wandered the world correcting problems that harmed the more innocent creatures of the world. If it had life, Kaelia could talk directly to its soul- this includes trees, plants, amoebas, etc. Even the most dark of creatures she could calm and speak to rationally.
((THIS CONCLUDES THE HISTORY-BARF MOMENT. IF YOU SKIPPED IT, YOU CAN START HERE WITHOUT HAVING MISSED ANY ACTION.))
Kaelia suddenly ended her thoughts and memories to veer off the path and down into the underbrush. After a few unnerving minutes when Kaelia put out the light and they wandered in darkness with thick growth around them, they entered a naturally lit clearing with a pool of water in the middle. The area was lit by naturally oxidative lichen that glowed, and the water came up from deep underground caves that Kaelia had wandered in many times in her youth. She dismounted Trotter and sat by the pool, drinking some of the water and dinging to herself. Only a very few number of elves knew of this pool- few dared to go off the path because of the giant spiders and other monsters in the untamed forest. Kaelia knew she was safe for a while here. She laid back and closed her eyes, day dreaming about her plans she had yet to set into action.

Anor soared in circles over the forest. He got kind of scared when she disappeared into it, though. With his senses, though, he was able to see the light that she ignited, and was able to follow her, until it diappeared again. He swooped low, hearing the soft hoofbeats of Trotter. Anor was amazed at the stamina that he had flying. He was sure that if Itsaki was riding, he wouldn't be able to keep it up, but he could probably fly all the way to the western lands at this pace, all the way on the other side of the world. Anor didn't know how long the elf would be, so he flew up high, and found a strong warm spot, and hovered. He could still feel th elf's mind though, so he would know when she moved. And so he waited. ++ Kaelia dozed off for a while, as did Trotter and Dakota. She awoke a few hours later and wondered what time it was- probably late day, if her senses were correct. She stood and stretched, waking the other two. Glancing around, she whistled softly and a bird with long feathers hopped down to her. "Hello, little friend. Fly, and tell me what you see." The bird flew off and into the trees, her mind telling him what to look for. He sent images back to the elf- Empty sentry post, empty city border. Kaelia thought about that for a moment, then realized it was market day, of course. Everyone was closing shop, and Ryaj wouldn't need guards on the perimeter anymore because everyone was so afraid of him. She whipped around, her partially braided hair whipping angrily, and she gazed at Trotter and Dakota. Dakota growled angrily, "You can't go in there by yourself!" "I'll be fine. I have friends there." "You USED to have friends there. What are you planning, anyway? Dakota snarled, lowering her head. Kaelia laughed lightly, quietly. "You will see." She walked off, the darkness of the forest engulfing her.
She entered the city perimeter, pulling her cloak about herself and using her training to blend in, becoming virtually invisible. Sticking to the shadowy perimeter, Kaelia worked her way to the royal stables and in. The groom was out- lucky her. The horses all whickered at her- she used to spend a lot of time in the stables- and she went down the line until she found a small elven paint. "Chiko!" She whispered happily; her brother's horse came forward and nuzzled her lovingly. "Give me the news." The horse snorted again, then spoke to her mind, "Master is still in city locked in castle. He believes you are innocent. Most believe it. Ryaj is in castle with guards. Very difficult to get to. Reyann waits for you at the tree house often. She has group that will fight with you." He nibbled some of Kaelia's hair, then pushed her with his nose, "Go to her." Kaelia nodded, then left the stables. Creeping along by the castle wall, blending in with the ivy, Kaelia worked her way to her window and stood there, deciding how to get up into it. The elf finally decided to simply climb it; she summoned the ivy's soul and had it embrace her so she was climbing up the ivy from the back side. When she reached her window, she whispered a few words in a strange tongue, then slid through the now clear opening. She sighed happily as she sank down onto her bed right below the window. With a glance she took note that everything was as she had left it. She quickly sped through her room, gathering items and shoving them ungracefully into her pack. She moved on to her closet and grabbed some of her favorite items, then moved to another part of her room. Kaelia faced the giant locked armoire, her face unreadable. Placing her hand on the crack, she mumbled something and it popped open. A delicate, shaking hand reached in and pulled out a bracelet made of a type of white gold, only it was as hard as diamond. It was in links, and every couple of links were hearts made of marbled sapphire and emerald. Clutching the treasure to her chest, Kaelia sighed with relief and put it on. It had been a gift from her deceased mother. Glancing at the other treasures, Kaelia closed the armoire and went back to her window. She blew a kiss to it, then climbed out, resealing all the magical locks. Kaelia slunk back into the forest by the castle and walked along the edge until she came to a tree with a rope on it. The elf girl shimmied up the rope and into a small tree house her and Reyann had built years ago. As Chiko had said, The elf girl only a few years older than Kaelia climbed up the rope and let out a soft gasp as Kaelia wrapped her arms around the girl's face from behind. "Shhh, it's just me." Kaelia whispered, releasing her tawny-haired friend. "Kaelia!? By the Gods! Is it time!?" Reyann hissed. "No. Not yet. It my brother well?" "Um, oh uh, yea. He's doing alright. Just under house arrest. I see him every so often at the market with the Guard. Why not yet?" "I have other things to do. No one is injured? Life is well?" "Well, yea. Not fun, but he hasn't killed anyone in anger for years now." "Good. My spells must be weakening him. Not much longer. Two years, tops. I promise. Tell." Kaelia's voice caught unpleasantly in her throat, "T-Tell Salo' that I love and miss him very much." Kaelia practically sobbed. "I will return soon and free you all." With that she immediately dropped out of the tree house and hurried deeper into the woods. Reyann sat alone in the tree house for the rest of the evening when her mother called her in for dinner. Kaelia hustled back to the pond and hugged Trotter tight around the neck. She put her pack on his saddle bags, remounted, and left the forest. When she emerged from the woods many hours later, it was late night. "Let's go to the cave." Trotter nodded his head, white mane flicking, then galloped to the cave about an hour away and trotted in. As they entered it, Kaelia called out, "Anor! I know you are up there. Come on in, it's big enough for ten of you once you get past the entrance." With that, she disappeared into the darkness. The opening to the cave was bottlenecked- Anor would find it to be small and confining, but he would be able to pass through. It opened into a huge cavern- one of Kaelia's many homes. With a wave of her hand, the earth magic shield collapsed so the coristor could enter. ++ Anor did not know the purpose of the elf's visit to the city, but he waited outside. He didn't want to go near the city, for he would probably be attacked and ruin everything. So he flew circles above the pond that Kaelia had left. When she returned, she seemed to be in a hurry, there was something in her voice. He followed her out of the forest, behind and high, like usual. He was kind of bummed when she called out to her, but he wasn't being inconspicuous, with the wingspan he had. He sighed, and swooped low over her. When she entered the cave, Anor pulled his wings in and skidded along the ground. He crouched down and stored his wings when he entered the cave. Once he got inside, he was able to stand normal, and he stretched, and sat down, his tail curling around him. 'So what, may I ask, is the purpose of you calling me here?' ++ Kaelia rolled her eyes at the coristor and chose to ignore him, going into her cellar instead. Dakota immediately went over to Anor and layed down beside him with a yawn while Trotter flicked his tail and dozed in a corner. With a sigh, Kaelia tossed the two halves of a deer up out of the cellar. It was dried jerky, but still quite pleasant to eat. After another moment, she emerged from her cellar and tossed a large piece to Dakota and hauled the two halves over to Anor. The elf sat down in her chair and pulled out some jerky for herself. "I'm going to have to go hunting soon. Only four deer and two boar left." She sighed and shook her head, "Anyway. Anor, why were you following me?" Kaelia took a bite of her jerky, an intense stare on Anor. ++ 'I can hunt for you.' He took a few bites of the jerky. It was good, his sharp teeth ripping through easily. He took a few more bites before answering the girl's question. 'I followed you because I had to. Well, Itsaki wanted me to make sure yo didn't get yourself killed, pretty much.' A thousand miles away, Itsaki seethed. 'But I don't know what you did in that city, but that was the reason I was there.' He thought for a moment, eating one of the halves whole. When he swallowed, he slitted his eyes. 'Something tells me that you are not allowed in the city, and that something happened there that you are not allowed in the city. There's something, or most likely someone there, who you probablyl aren't too fond of. I am correct, am I not?' He laid down. ++ With a dismissive wave of her hand, Kaelia said, "Don't worry about hunting. It's easy enough and I do it often." She thought about his latter comments and question instead. "You are right, but it is of no concern to you." She said calmly, but there was a hint of defensiveness in her voice. "Just little petty issues." Kaelia knew this probably wasn't going to stop Anor from asking more questions nor appease his want for more information, but her heart twinged at the thought of telling him the truth. She brought her cover up story to mind- the one she told everyone. "Little theft accusation, ya know? They are sticklers for staying to the rules. I was in the wrong place at the wrong time, so the king kicked me out with the stuff on my back." Most of this was true, so she was able to pass it off quite easily as truth. ++ Anor could sense something in her voice, and not quite something in her eyes, but something else. Something that told him she wasn't saying everything. He didn't want to press it though, so he dropped it. 'Hmm. If you say so.' Was all he said. He finished the rest of the jerky, and stretched again. He stretched a lot bacuse he was made to move. When he wasn't moving, his muscles sometimes tensed up. Anor liked Kaelia, but she his too many things to his disappointment. 'YOu're a bad liar, by the way.' ++ Kaelia shrugged, "I try my best." She curled up in her chair, already nearly dozing after the stress of her time in the city. "Get some rest. We return to the castle tomorrow, unless you intend to leave now and fly back by yourself." With that she closed her eyes and dozed off, her dreams unsettling and making her restless. ++ Anor shrugged, and in his own mind, said, 'Like hell I'm going to leave you now.' He did stand, though, and he carefully walked outside. He looked up at the stars, and walked around the outside of the cave. He climbed up on top of the rocks, and eventually fell asleep. He kept his ears perked though, a silent guardian. He felt comfortable sleeping outside. He liked sleeping in the fresh air and the stars, and the light from the moons, both of them, shining on him. He was a dragon, and liked open space. He didn't mind caves, but they weren't big enough. He would wait until Kaelia woke him. ++ Kaelia woke up not long after sunrise. She stood and stretched stiffly, then wandered out of the cave, aware of Anor's presence still. Trotter and Dakota followed loyally, and immediately Trotter set to cropping the grass with mild hunger. "Good morn, Anor." Kaelia called up to him. "Ready to head back today?" She busied herself with cleaning out Trotters hooves with her knife.

Anor lifted his head. 'Sure, if that is where you wish to go.' He stood, and stretched his wings out. 'If you don't mind me asking, what exactly did you retrieve while you were in the city? Your pack is more full, and the bracelet. And why would you go all the way for these?' Anor climbed down. 'Sorry for being nosy, just curious.' He crouched, and shot himself into the air, opening his wings and flying towards Akess. ++ She finished dealing with Trotter's hooves, then mounted him, glancing up at Anor as she thought about her answers to his questions. "Your curiosity is commendable. This bracelet was a gift from my mother and is very important to me. When I told you I was chased out of the city quickly, I was not lying. I was chased out with Trotter, Dakota, my bow and katana. And the clothes on my back, obviously, and only because those were the things I had with me. I didn't get the chance to return home and pick anything up. I was money less and I had nothing to barter with. My clothes are all handmade by me now, so I went beck to pick up some nice clothing that were professionally made." She nudged Trotter in the side gently, ad the giant elven war horse took off, heading back to Akess. As they ran, all sorts of plans went through her head. She would have to call her messenger again to report on the status of the city and Ryaj. The sooner she retook her city, the better. ++ Anor read her mind. He never closed the mindlink with her last night, but paid no attention to her dreams. He could hear all of the plans she had, and the thoughts she had. 'I will help you fight, you know. Itsaki says he will, too. We want you to be happy, and we will fight by your side to accomplish it. I know you want your city. I will kill any who stand in my way, by your side.' He glided over Kaelia, about a thousand feet up. ++

Kaelia's heels dug into Trotter's flank while she pulled back hard on the reins. In response, Trotter threw his massive body into the air in a rear, letting out a powerful scream in frustration. Kaelia's eyes shot into the sky, quickly targeting Anor. "You were in my mind!" She yelled accusingly, angry at herself for not verifying that the link was closed. Her mind now was a complete blank, making sure Anor heard nothing else. "How much do you know?" She snapped in the same accusing tone, "I know you would want to help, it's because you and your brother have the same selfless heart. But listening in on my thoughts isn't...isn't...nice, ya know? So how much did you find out and consequently share with Itsaki?" And in a moment of forgetfulness, thought, 'Please not my lineage...I'd have to...' She let the thought trail off, never taking her eyes off Anor.

'I have shred naught with Itsaki, I know it is not my place to be in your mind, but I must be assured that you will not do anything reckless. It is even lees my place to share your thoughts with another. Itsaki and I have free range at each other's minds, but we both have areas of our minds that are guarded and the other cannot access. I assure you, he knows nothing, and I apologize, elf-woman. And, if you don't mind my asking, why exactly are we returning to Akess if you wish to reclaim your city?'

Kaelia heaved a huge sigh of relief, "Thank the gods." She mumbled, then urged Trotter to carry on towards Akess. "Because my spell isn't ready yet. This needs to be a subtle job- more subtle than taking the castle a few days ago. The king's brother, Ryaj, did the typical royal family thing and killed the King. I witnessed this, and was thrown out. Ryaj dealt with me so sufficiently he expected me to die, but he wasn't aware of my own, unique elven power. I survived, and I am now the only one capable of retaking the city FROM there, anyway. If you and Itsaki knew how to get in, I wouldn't doubt your abilities, even though Ryaj would throw everything he had at you and give you one hell of a time, you could defeat him and his Royal Guard. But the problem is that Garoth City is difficult to get into due to the foliage without blowing everything up, and the elves there are suspicious and distrusting of outsiders, which is why I am most likely the only Sindarin you have ever met. We don't leave our forest if we can avoid it, nor do we allow outsiders in. Of course, only the best of the best can make it in there, and only those better than the best of the best can make it to the city. Provided no one kills you. Or anything else. "So, what I am leading up to is, I would love yours, Itsaki's and even Tarya's help, though I don't think you will fit through the forest unless you can hit Trotter's size or smaller. He barely fits through the entrance, and I'd rather you didn't rip my forest apart. Either way, give it about a month and I will send Legend in to see the status of my u- of the dark king Ryaj. It shouldn't be long before my magic has subdued his power enough to grant me- or anyone with me- access. But we can discuss that later. I apologize for my angry tone with you- you caught me off guard." With a click of her tongue and a nudge, Kaelia urged Trotter into a full gallop, racing towards Akess once more.

'Hmm. I will see to a sorcerage about getting me to Trotter's size. Itsaki will most defineately want to come, and Tarya would be a huge help. I will have to watch Itsaki though, and make sure he doesn't hurt any innocent people.' Anor cringed. 'I mean, he should be fine, I will make sure he holds himself to a normal level. And I understand your being angry with me. I would have been angry as well. Please, I won't read your mind again unless you grant me access.' Anor glided on a deep thermal, watching the elf far below. 'If only it were a thousand years in the future, none of this would be a problem. I would be a Coristor and I could take the city myself. Size would not be an issue, as a Coristor I can control my size. But yet, I am only a baby, a child, and so must refer to a Sorcerage. Sometimes I wish I could mature faster, but as of yet...' he let the sentence trail off. 'I apologize for my rambling, elf.' He pulled his wings in close, dropping into a steep and fast nosedive, falling until he was quite close to the ground before throwing them wide, the membranes catching and manipulating the air, halting Anor's descent and causing a huge thud upon the ground, the grass of the plain giving way below the wind. He dropped to the ground, taking to his feet and running to make up lost ground, running beside Trotter and the elf. His lope made an even and rythmic beat, and it reminded him of the Coristor war carges of old. He was but a baby then. He, for some reason, allowed the emotion inside to seep outwards, though he didn't mean for it to. It was simply such a strong emotion inside of him. Hundreds of years ago there were hundreds, thousands of Coristors that would converge on the field of battle and tear through ranks of Men, Elves, Dwarves, Andro, Dendroids, Trolls, Undead, they were unstoppable. More aged Coristors, large dragons hundreds of feet long, some thousands of feet long, would soar overhead, raining fire and ice upon their enemies. Many wished to see the end of the Coristor's reign. And so it ended. Anor recalled the fateful day, and in Akess, Itsaki watched the memory with a sad face. Anor sent the visions to Kaelia, as well. A hundred thousand landbound Coristors, as well as a thousand dragon-Coristors, made ranks on a huge plain, facing the largest army that Sarmatia had ever seen. A hundred million soldiers from many races converged together, facing the Coristor army. The Coristor leader, many thousands of aeons old, a God, roared with all his might, and the first charge, the thundering of paws, the roars, The tearing of flesh. Blood formed puddles on the ground. Black. Green. Red. Black dragons maneuvered around dragon-Coristors, burning them with flames and ripping them apart with claws and teeth. Oreis had amassed an uncountable number of dragons. Too many swords pierced the flesh of not enough Coristors, and too many arrows mowed across many already dying. They all knew they were going to lose. But it was a fight to the death. Many days later, a crowd gathered around the final landbound Coristor. The Coristor God had retreated. No others survived. The Coristor had many deep gashes, arrows protruded from him like spikes, and he had many broken bones. He struggled to heal himself, bones flinchin in place, attempting to find their rightful place. Itsaki made his way through the crowd. Tears streamed down his face as he looked into the dying eyes of his brother. "Get a sorcerage! Now!" He screamed. "But, sir." A soldier was unlucky enough to say. With only a flash of fire on an invisible blade, the soldier collapsed to the ground. A sorcerage, a sorcerer-mage, and Anor was instantly healed. Anor tried to hide a tear. 'That, young one, is why I must help you. I feel it as a moral duty to help those who have been shunned, who have been rejected from that which they love most. Coristors were once at peace with all races. But we were spat upon and so we left, and many seeked out to kill us. They succeeded. I am one of two of the last Coristors. That is why I follow you, and that is why I press so hard to help you.' He ran in silence.

"You're rambling was of no bother. I knew some of the story, but it was before my time, and the Sindarin elves stuck to themselves. They have no qualm with coristors and never did, but Sindarins are unknown and would have had no place in such a battle. "Anyway, your help would be greatly appreciated. We still have to wait a while- my spell needs to finish tying Ryaj down. Then we can free my people and I can guarantee you will be held in high honor and sang about in ballads and have your face painted into giant works of art and stitched into tapestries." Kaelia added that list with a soft laugh as she thought about the idea.

'Yeah, that's a view someone wants to hang.' Anor laughed. 'We're almost at Akess.' Anor sprang in the air, the wind catching his wings like sails. He flew low, each thud of his wings resounding off of the ground. He soared in sight of the large plateau that housed the Tower. 'Welcome home, Princess.'

Kaelia winced as he referred to her true title. She had been wondering if he knew or not. "Thanks. And if you haven't told anyone about that yet, I would really appreciate you keeping it to yourself." Kaelia mumbled aloud, but also thinking it through the mind link. The elf rode straight to the stables, dismounted and patted Trotter's neck, then handed the reins over to the stable mate. Dakota followed him with a yawn, intent on going to bed in Trotter's stall like she always did. Kaelia left from there and started towards the Tower, feeling slightly paranoid that trumpets would start blaring and announcing the arrival of the Sindarin princess.

'Don't worry, I promise not to tell a soul, or not a soul.' He grinned at his own joke, unsure if she would get it. 'And can get trumpets for you if you wish.' He smiled. Anor landed on the ground beside her, leaning down so that she could get on his back. 'You're going to Itsaki's, right? How about the express lane?'

After shooting Anor a withering glare, she nodded, "That'd be much appreciated." She said, closing the mind link firmly. It was weird having him comment on her thoughts and feelings- Legend could do it, but...He couldn't talk really at all, so...That was okay. The elf climbed up gracefully and held on in a neutral way so she wouldn't fall off or appear to be in a panic or anything. Legend suddenly appeared and began to chatter very quickly at her about all the amazing things he did while she was away- ate bugs, chased rabbits, ate bugs, played tricks on soldiers, ate bugs, burned things, ate bugs, took a trip, ate bugs, killed a shrew, ate bugs.

'I apologize, it is only shrewd humor at my amusement.' He lifted up, soaring around the Tower, up to the highest room, and through a modified window that was large enough to accompany Anor's size. He ducked low so that Kaelia wouldn't hit her head or anything, and then dropped into the room where Itsaki sat on the corner of his bed. Anor crouched back down. "Welcome back, Kaelia." Itsaki said. "I trust your journey was productive? I don't know, Anor kept most of the journey and much of the conversations from me. But I understand, your journey was your journey." He stood. "But welcome back."
