Demon was pleased that Lily hadn't dove right into a fray. The brute moved away from her so they formed a flanking position around the three lions, then leapt for one, starting the fight. Powerful hind legs hammered Demon's chest, but the brute managed to knock the smaller lion to the ground and pin him down, ripping off his ear with rage. "Rapists!" He hissed as the smaller lion's claws battered at his face. Another pair of teeth found their way into Demon's ankle and he kicked the second lion in the face while he continued making the brute under him suffer. No quick deaths today.

Lily dove toward the lion who she figured was the largest. She let out a roar which wasn't actually of rage but of pleasure. She had yet to be angry. The lion was quicker than she thought and she had to stop on a dime to avoid the paw that headed toward her face. The lion swung another paw and this time she could not dodge, instead she chose to block, an unusual manuvre she learned when she was near dead and could not take another blow. She put up her paw lightnig fast overpowering the male's and she dove toward the unbalanced lions throat.

Demon kicked and slashed at the lion under him, until he finally tired of this game and ripped the lion's throat out. Air and blood gurgled out of the gaping wound as Demon untangled himself from the brute and turned to face the second, who was preparing to leap. He did so, and Demon simply slapped hm out of the air. The lion tried to turn tail and run, but Demon was on his back in a heartbeat, chewing on his back and ripping up skin.

The lion had somehow managed to get out of the way fast enough to dodge her. She chuckled, the lion was quicker thann she had expected. Fun. she spared herself a quick glance to see what Demon was doing. He appeared to be only be dealing with one now. It was time she stepped it up a level. She realized the lion had even got a glancing blow onto her as she passed. She had turned around from her lunge just in time, the lion was already flying towards her. Instead of trying to dodge or knock him out of the air, she instead took about three steps forward so as to meet up with the lion when he was at a higher point. That made it easier for her to catch the pathetic lion in midair by the throat. She guided the lion so that it's momentum wouldn't rip out it's own throat, she hadn't even had one fun game and Demon could handle himself. The lion landed on it's back and Lily released, she then broke it's front left paw, then the right. Needless to say, the lion wouldn't be running or taking another swipe at he for some time. She laughed again. This was the most fun she had, had in a while! The lion was to busy yelling through the pain of his damaged paws to try to pick itself up. She put both her paws on the lions chest, seeing how man ribs she could break.

Demon chewed on the lion he had pounced, snapping the spine of the lion and tossing it aside. He watched Lily torment a lion with a grin on his face, then turned away and approached the fallen lioness. He crouched down in front of her and licked her nose. Pale green eyes fluttered open and a soft squeak came from her. "Shh, it's alright now. They are dead, or soon to be. You are free and safe once more." Demon said softly, his eyes gentle.

Lily heard four cracks and smiled as the pathetic lion yelped, shouted and groaned. She hoped she hadn't punctured a lung becuase then her game would end quickly. She hummed a little song as she set to work on him, a bite here, a claw there. She found great satisfaction in her work. The lion cried out for mercy and she laughed. She bent down close to his ear as she sensed he was about to die from blood lose, he was bleeding from just about everywhere. "I could let you go." She wispered and the lion thought he was going to escape somehow. He was mistaken though. He was going to die and soon. "I could let you go. But how are you supposed to learn your lesson? Have you learned you lesson?" she whispered, staring into the lion's eyes. The lion nodded vigorously. "WHAT IS THE LESSON? SLIME!" She roared. The lion whimpered then gathered the courage to think and speak. "N-not t-t-to r-r-ape anyone" He stuttered. "Hmmm." She acted like she was considering although his answer made her even more angry. "Too bad," she laughed, "I will have to kill you anyways." She smiled. The lion began to cry. Perfect. She had won. She ripped the lions throat out in a sudden vicious act.

Demon watched Lily, his expression unreadable. "There, you see? He lost. They all lost, and were beaten. Nothing more to fear." He stood and approached Lily, as unreadable as ever. He gazed for a moment at the corpse, then at Lily. He said nothing, just watched her with that expressionless face, his thoughts completely unknown to everyone besides himself and Shaitan.

Lily was pleased with herself, she felt pretty good now that she got her need to torture and kill out of her system. She looked at Demon, Lily could not read what the large lion might be thinking. She hoped he wasn't worried about her violent little habit that crept upon her from time to time. She did not bother with the blood that was on her, she coud deal with the sticky stuff later. She pranced over to the lioness, humming under her breath. She composed herself into a more serious attitude, just becuase she was happy did not mean that the lioness was hurt in some way, or at least not upset. "You are alright?" She addressed the lioness half asking, half telling. "Demon and I finished them off and I am sure that no more males will try and mess with you after what we did to this lot." She purred.

The lioness gazed up at Lily with big, frightened eyes, "I am glad to hear that." She whispered, standing up slowly. She stared at Lily for a moment, then looked over at Demon, who had his head lowered and ears flattened, tail flicking with agitation. "I will be going now. My thanks to you both. I owe you my life." She trotted away, thin hips swaying wildly with her gait.
Demon thrashed his tail, then raised his head sharply, eyes locked on Lily. "What pleasure does this give you?"

Lily knew he would ask eventualy. She asked herself many times. She knew it was very sick but, she couldn't help the way she had changed. She looked at Demon, her eyes were dull but if one looked deeper, one could see the fear inside. The fear of her own self. "Quite a bit actually." She said, almost whispering. "I don't know why Demon. But. All I know is that it's better that I rescue people and destroy evil ones, so that is what I do. I do it well. Yes, I feel bad for that little lioness, but her trouble does not seem to sober my attitude. You must think me a monster, but at least I, like you, help good others. Instead of hurting them." Her voice creeped up a notch and pitch as she began to get more distressed without controlling herself. She looked into Demon's eyes. She could see his contempt for her, or at least, she imagined she could. Or was that her own contempt, glaring back at her? She began to lose control. Already, today had been a rollercoaster of emotions and now, she was about to shatter into a million little pieces, like a vase ran over by a bulldozer.

Demon looked down at his paws again, nodding slowly. "I was like you once. I took out all my rage and pain on the evil. I didn't kill, I pulverized. And not Shaitan. He just helped me. It was all me, Demon, that tore those lions apart. I would shred them until they were no longer recognizable." His voice escalated in volume with each sentence he said, "But it isn't worth it, Lily! It's not!" He closed his eyes, his own inner turmoil and pain radiating off of him, he spoke again, but this time quietly, "I hope you will learn that before it's too late. I cannot help you until you learn that this mutilation is not worth it." He opened his blue eyes again, gazing at her, "Yuri...I- I love you. In these few days I have known you. I don't want to see you hurting anymore." He choked out the words, a tear running down his cheek.

'I DON'T KNOW WHAT LOVE IS ANYMORE!' 'I don't know how to respond. I don't think I can feel love anymore. 'What about Harmakhis?! What exactly am I to you?!' 'I don't know if I can. It's one of the few times I feel alive, I have fun afterwards.' 'They deserve what they get and it serves to protect to make examples out of them.' 'I don't want to talk about this anymore. Just let it be.'
All these thoughts tumbled through her head and she began to feel dizzy. She tried to take it step by step. to realize all the facts. She knew she liked Demon but she wasn't sure in what way. Did she love him too? Did she just enjoy his company? Did she feel an odd infatuation to the lion in ways that wasn't usual. She knew she cared at least, or did she? What was more important? She wan't sure but she at least did want to like Demon if she could. She wondered what exactly Demon meant when he said he loved her. Did he mean like a sister, a friend, a lover, or something that through their experiences was more and less? A sort of reliance that without each other they would shatter like she possibly felt. She trusted Demon more than she trusted any other alive she knew. She blinked in surprise at Demon's show of emotion. She had always thought of him as strong, like her, but apparently she wasn't that strong becuase she had just had a breakdown. She didn't know if she would stop acting like a monster. If others pain and death would stop being the high in her life. She knew she was more happy at any time when she was killing and torturing. Except for those distant and pleasent memories of when she was with Streak. She had cried until she could not, until crying seemed stupid and feeling sad felt ackward. All she could feel was hatred. Hatred at the tigers that took her lover's life. The tigers that took her. Killing them brought more ecstasy than she could ever remember having in a long long time. Would she ever stop hurting or feeling dull? would she ever stop killing and torturing for fun? Could she ever feel an emotion even close to love? She had learned many things over her life. One of them was that life was a bitch and then you died. She had no cubs. She would die in waste. With no love. And the sad thing was, was that it all could have been avoided. She could have remained weak. She didn't realize that to gain streangth you forfieted love. She despised her path being choosen for her. She knew she didn't have to be strong anymore. She could, possibly, try trusting. It was better than what her life fortold for her now. Even if she got hurt... she would be ok. Even if she died... she wold be fine.
Lily the tiger had bee looking down for a couple minutes, thinking things over. She had decided. She looked up into Demon's beautiful blue eyes and said four simple, trusting words. "I love you too." It did not matter why or how. All that mattered was that she did.

Demon watched the turmoil fly through Lily's mind by watching her eyes and face. His heart went out to her; he had also followed this same path before. The anguish, the hate, the pain. It was nothing unknown or foreign to him. At her words, Demon sighed, his body relaxing. He didn't realize he had been holding his breath, expecting her to attack him. Slowly the brute moved forwards until they were facing each other with their heads touching. "I'm glad to hear that." He placed his head comfortingly on hers, then licked her between the ears. "Come, you have nothing to fear. Don't let the pain consume you for another minute." He swished his tail, then picked a random direction and lumbered off slowly.

Lily's muscles had been tensed, she did actually care what Demon thought. In the back part of her mind she feared and expected rejection. At Demon's touch she sighed, tension easing out of her slowly, her hard muscles loosening more than they had ever been before since Cat. She blinked a stray tear out of her eye. She followed Demon relaxedly. She didn't want to be away from him now. Not when she was feeling so vulnerable, not when she... Not when she was doing what Demon said. When she was letting her pain go without killing something for the first time in years.

Demon had one ear turned back the whole time, listening to her paw steps. A soft purr rumbled in his chest; the brute was so glad Lily had decided to come. Spying a giant hill, Demon walked slowly up it, then turning to look out at the scenery. The sun was at its peak, gracefully extending it unforgiving rays to touch the grasses, making them glow with life. Patches shone gold where the grass turned into wild wheat, but most of it was a dusty green. A herd of elephants stood under a small grove of Baobab trees, touching each other with their trunks lovingly and grazing on the grass and leaves. Turning his gaze into the wind, a mixed herd of zebras and gazelles walked along, heading for the water hole. The breeze lifted Demon's mane and played with it, making it dance. He raised his head and closed his eyes, reveling in the feeling. Opening his eyes again, Demon looked over at Lily, but felt that all had been said. No words could describe the feeling within him. Not even Harmakhis could make him feel this way. His heart was light; he felt like the wind was going to sweep him off his feet and carry him away. Demon shifted his weight, rebalancing himself so his weight was in his front paws, then in his back paws. Finally, after letting the silence swell to a giant amount, he spoke. "The world is in our paws. We can do whatever we want."
((Hey Yuri. What are the limits on this roleplay? Is it extreme fantasy? I was thinking we could do some hardcore traveling across the world, but that would require merging into my world, Falkrier, which is a mythological planet similar to mythological Greece.))
